Let me preface this by saying our defense cost us this game today by not getting enough pressure on Cassel and having a hard time covering the receivers.
With that being said, what pisses me off the most was when we were driving in the 2nd half with us trailing 24-21 and we were in field goal range. Suddenly all that changed when Satele was flagged for a holding call and on the replay there was clearly no holding whatsoever. With us being backed up 10 yds we were taken out of field goal range and had to punt. Then the Patriots came back down the field to score a TD and go up on us by 2 scores. I think that if the horrible holding call hadn't been made and we got that field goal and we were only down by 1 score then we might not have let the momentum switch the way it did.

Also, the off setting penalties with Light and Crowder was disgusting as was the 15 yarder given to Porter for running his mouth. If he is going to get flagged for running his mouth then there should be about 100 dead ball personal fouls called every week. That penalty put the Patriots in position to score that last TD with about 40 seconds left in the game.

I am sick and tired of this league doing what it can to support certain teams more than others. I didn't realize that NE was only averaging 3 penalties per game comging into this game. Come on for crying out loud, does the league really expect us to believe that this team plays near flawless football??? The non call on Moss for pushing off on his 3rd TD was completely disgusting. It really is a shame that the league doesnt hold the officials more accoutable, and they probably never will.

Ok, there....I'm done venting now.

How about the call on Goodman. Moss clearly put his hand on his back for the last 10 yards before the ball got there, then he pushed off, and WE got the interference call.WTFFF. Is Boston that much bigger a market? WTF

Dude, that was just a nice effort by Moss to go get the ball and make the play. He just beat Goodman in the ball skills dept on that one. Besides, they threw a flag on Goodman, if you didnt notice he was using his left arm to block Moss for several yards before the ball got there.

As for the holding call, yea Satele held there. He was getting owned all day by Wilfork.

I dream of the day when we will not blame the refs for our losses. Tunnel vision I know, becasue had it not been for those calls, we clearly wouldve scored as many points as they did.

I saw no hold there.

As for the Moss penalty, it was BS. Moss initiated contact immediately and even pushed off a little before making the catch. They let that douche get away with murder.

That being said, we didn't lose because of the refs.

Bro, I don't mean to grandstand or anything, but I assure you Satele absolutely did NOT hold anyone when he was flagged. Perhaps you are thinking of another play or something, and as far as the Moss catch, come on man....are you serious?? The replay clearly shows a push off.

That penalty defalted the game. It was back and forth. Miami may have still lost the game. But that call killed it for Miami. The call where #81 had his arm all over Goodman. It was so easy to see.

I think the refs did the usual thing with the Patriots. They seen to give them a lot of breaks. But I aslo agree that Miami's defense had no answer for Cassell and that probably would have lost them the game. But I really think it should have ended with the good battle we saw for 3 1/2 quarters. The ref blew it.

But as WV stated, Goodman used a left armbar on Moss to impede him. You can't fault the ref for that call.

In all actuality, I thought no falg should have been thrown. Sometimes in a good close ball game the refs need to let them play physical and they often do thus, no penalty = nice TD catch by Moss.

What about the NO PASS INTERFERENCE call on Vrabrel when he clearly hit Bess before the ball got there. And the holding calls on the oline of Miami when there were NO holding calls on the Pats oline?? WTF!! It's got to go both ways.

They made calls both ways. 8 against us and 6 against the pats. We got beat by the Pats not the refs.

Satele didn't hold on that play but it may have been a case of the wrong number being called.

Goodman did commit pass interference with his left hand but so did Moss. He held Goodman as much as Goodman held him and I thought he clearly used his elbow to push off when he went up for the ball.

Crowder getting thrown out of the game was pure BS. His actions in no way warranted being ejected. I believe you can get an unsportsmanlike penalty for talking trash. In Porter's case he probably didn't realize a ref was in ear shot when he questioned the sexuality of one of NE's lineman.

As for NE being the least penalized team, I don't really have an issue with that. They play the best fundamentally sound football in the league. Although he's a real dick, they also have the best coach in the league.

i agree that we would have lost even if the calls had gone in our favour, but doesnt get away fom the FACT:-

1) there was no hold on satale, wrong no. or not,
2) Moss was all over goodman, even if he had his left arm out, the penalty was called against goodman, at best it should have been PI on both sides play void.
3)WTF did crowder do???????????????????

I have been in denial for a while, but i am now fully convinced that Satele is nothing more than a good backup center.:(
