Since everyone is elated to see Cam extend, and to all of us who love to see him cause havoc on the field.......remember........

When we grabbed him from the CFL for nothing, I remember the chaos. Endless threads where a small minority of us fought for the naysayers to give him a chance. All we heard was a forum full of negatives....people who blasted him using the logic that there were so few CFL imports that had ever done well.

We fought to at least give him a chance.

Yes. You know who you were. Can you man up and say you were wrong?

Spent some time today revisiting those old threads. Funny actually......He was written off before a single camp. Man up. Let me hear you now. Can you man up and say you were wrong?
 
I have always been about giving people chances. Even second chances. But I can't recall a lot of people bashing Wake when we first signed him.

Actually, there were a lot on nay sayers. All because he was with the CFL before. It is what it is.
 
Right now, Wake is the best pass rusher on the team. Not dominant on his own, but very effective when he has help on the other side.
I have no problem with him getting the money, but he better produce some double digits.

Yep. You are right.

You know, so many of us were wrong on so many things.......but, so many wrote him off before the first snap just because he came from the CFL. Just crazy.

Come out. Come out wherever you are!

Actually, he was dominant. Best 3-4 OLB according to Profootballfocus.com. Most holding calls by far. Most QB pressures. Better stats than Williams.
 
Are we supposed to assume that a great college player who gets cut multiple times from other nfl teams and plays in a different country that he will come in and play at a top 5-10 level for every CFL player?

There was good reason to not be so excited about wake coming here. Sure he was playing great in the cfl, but the cfl is to the nfl what b-team is to varsity.
 
I really don't remember anybody bitching about Cam Wake ever for any reason. I thought we should have traded him for high picks if we could have, but Im more than happy to root for him now that he's locked up.
