"Tannehill, who, through his first three seasons, has shown steady improvement in every statistical category, could be making a serious run at that elite group in 2015."

Nice little sports blog about 17. Writer is even a self admit Patriot's Fan

I know we have quite a few threads on our QB, sorry if I am polluting the boards... I am just stoked about this upcoming season

Your not polluting the board, that was a very good article. Thanks for posting.

I like it, but aren't those WR numbers a little roundabout? 8 teams with "worse #1s"? Saying that a WR's numbers aren't very good isn't a great argument for "the QB overcame his bad receivers" - or "put up these numbers despite his #1". If anything it would be a good argument for QBs who spread the ball around, but separating out JUST #1 yardage seems like cherry-picking.

You just can't argue the kids production. Constant improvement in the face of adversity. I can't wait to read some of the detractors who will most certainly be here to point out the "yeah but...." to this article, but it feels really good to be able to not have to worry about the QB position for the first time in over a decade.

I agree with you Sarnics13. I'd much rather sit back and let Tannehill's career unfold. He is one component of the team that we really don't need to give a second thought to. He has proven to be the best QB we've had other than Chad Pennington and Dan Marino, and I would even argue that he has surpassed Pennington.

Ryan Tannehill's play on the field makes the best case for Ryan Tannehill. Nothing else is needed to convince me of what he is or where he's going.

In all honesty, if Tom Brady had 3 years of horrible protection (last year Miami allowed the most pressures in the NFL), people would be saying it was time for Brady to retire.

Tannehill is developing nicely. He now has an excellent stable of targets as long as Cameron stays healthy. Our RB's can at least run the ball. It now comes down to our protection and Tannehill's production.

highest ceiling young as in 5 years or less qb in the game

we are damn lucky

And even more amazing is despite the the lack of protection Tannehill has had in his first 3 seasons, he has significantly improved every year.
