The case for Vince Young

Maybe I was wrong about this being a troll job...I've been out of ****hole texas so long that I must have forgotten the fact that UT fans are the biggest homers in college football, particularly those that never went to the school. It's weird.

LOL at people comparing VY and Tebow. VY is better than Tebow in every way. Better passer, better runner, and better winner.

For a sampling, look at how they did vs the Patriots this year:

VY: 26-48, 400 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT, 6-40 rushing (6.7 avg)
Tebow: 20-48, 330 yds, 0 TD, 0 INT, 17-106 rushing (6.2 avg)

One thing though - that's in ONE game for VY and TWO games for Tebow! LOL

Tebow actually took his team to the playoffs and won a game. Vince Young couldn't lead a pack of cougars to Victoria's Secret.

The point isnt to say the top 2 teams cant be beaten by anyone else (although that appeared to be the case this year). Its merely getting a game vs the top 2 teams. The only year I can recall anyone being screwed is back when USC throttled Oklahoma and Auburn didnt get a shot. The BCS has pretty much nailed it the other years.

****ed things up pretty badly in 2000, too.

I was gonna post in the Possible FA's thread that bringing in Pacman Jones would be the 1st indicator that this new regime was no better than the last... I've decided to save that thought for this thread and Vince Young. God, what a terrible idea.

If you did take Vince and he did well, it would ram it up on Fisher.
I'd take him as a back up, competing to start. I have a hard time believing he was not mismanaged to some degree. Right now I'm interested in who we can draft at QB however.
