While certainly an all time great, I'm tired of MJ being called the greatest of all time. Under what criteria? He hasn't scored the most points. He hasn't won the most titles. The teams he faced in the six Finals he played weren't great teams, and neither were the teams he had to get by in the East.

Those Bulls teams would have gotten pasted by the those Celtics, Lakers and even the 83 Sixer team. If he was born a little earlier, he may not even have won a title.

He's said as much, but I wouldn't go that far. Those were some great Bulls teams in the 90's....As far as winning a title in the old days I believe he would have, that's just me.The old players just don't stack up to the new ones as far as athleticism and talent.

Unfortunately we have no way of knowing who would have done what in what generation, but I know one thing he was this generations best player.

What the players in the 80's may have lacked in athleticism, they more than made up for with fundamentals. Kareem, Moses or McHale/Parish would have eaten up the interior of the Bulls IMO. Jordan would have been dogged by DJ or Coop. Would have been interesting, but as you say, no way of knowing. Fun to talk about though.

MJ was definitely this generations best as you say.
