If you really think we need to clean house this offseason give me a hell yea!

the only players we need to keep are:

1.ronnie brown
2.chambers
3.hagan
4.welker
5.mcmike
6.hadnot
7.toledo
8.harrington
9.lemon
10.roth
11.vickerson
12.evens
13.rod wright
14.crowder
15.daniels
16.j allen
17.w allen
18.pope
19.bell
20. d jones
21. the snapper

thats 21 players out of 53 that 32 new guys! sorry to zach, jt, cpepp, james, mare, booker, morris and the other vets we need a good house cleaning and you guys deserve to go to a contender and as long as you guys are here you will continue to be dissapointed.

There's another thread of the same topic

We also wont have the Cap room to make that many moves.

All these moves some of you guys are proposing are never going to happen Zach and JT will be Fins for life and C-Pep will be back next year.

send RMcM and his fat $19.5m contract packin as well!!...get as many futures as we can for all our fat-money players...

he's got a fat contract and a fat butt to go with it,that boy is soft and mushy, looks clumsy out there.looks like a mistake giving a player that does'nt take care of his body a fat contract

I would love to get a pick for Booker or McMike, other than that I don't see much.

Unless we draft a TE on the first day of the draft or sign an impact TE in FA, I doubt that we will do any better without McMichael... Booker, IMO, should be traded, simply because at this point he may be of better value to us by fetching a draft pick by trade rather than simply cutting him (and his hefty salary)... in response to the house cleaning effort, many players on this year's squad will be gone next year... I believe an attempt will be made to lower the age of our defensive line with possible victims= V. Holliday, J. Zgonina, K. Traylor (to retirement?)... the secondary will be a focus and I doubt Michael Lehan and Eddie Jackson will return, with T. Tillman as a possible cut as well... Cpep is likely to return, and to think he should be cut/traded is immature... give a HEALTHY Culpepper a chance folks before calling for his head... and one more note: J.T. and Zach Thomas are mainstays of this franchise...both players are age, but both play at a high level... put a better cast around them, and let them use their experience to teach younger players... trading them or cutting them will only hurt us...

These "clean house" threads are quite good...

Does anyone starting them understand the concept of "salary cap hit" when you just cut/trade players?

The "big money" players you all want to cut would accelterate their bonuses and leave us in TERRIBLE salary cap shape.

You think we are bad now? What would we be if we had 30 million dollars in dead cap space for the next 3 years?

ahem...as to the subject of cap money & cap hell, i defer; "...if you continue to do the things the same way, you'll continue to get the same results, guaranteed!"...sound familiar?

The salary cap jumps up another $7Million under the new CBA for next season I believe, up to $109M range from $102 of this year.

Baby boy that don't mean spit if your teams dollar value is $550k short of $109m!!...all the heavy $$$ players have gotta go!...and for all who proffer that a better cast would help soften the fall for ZT/JT, think of it this way; these two gallant warriors have battled and bleed aqua/orange from one end of the NFL to the other...they deserve to have a chance to go to a contender and live out their dream if possible. we should cheer them to that end, and allow for them to press forward...moral victories for them now are hollow victories...let them bask in the glow, and applaud their efforts...all the while remembering their Dolphins past, and eventual enshrinement into our teams Ring Of Honor and Dolphins (if not Canton) Hall Of Fame...

yes, this is true, however by next year, these same people with the 'clean house' threads will be proclaiming the need to overpay for high priced FA's during the offseason... cant take the cap hit AND bring in any high profile players too:wink:

I don't care if it jumps 50 million. Having a TON of dead cap space would cripple this team.
