On a brisk, sunny December afternoon, one hundred yards of grass, dirt, and chalk became a field of dreams for a group of young men that restored pride and dignity to the greatest NFL franchise in history. Against all odds, rookies (Wright, Daniels, Crowder, Brown), discarded veterans (Tillman, McDougal) and frustrated members of the Wannstedt era (Madison, Chambers) came together on this day, in an empty stadium abandoned by hardened fans who could no longer watch one more exercise in self-destruction, to create a miracle and take their place in history with the legends of the game. To be sure, this was a game for the ages.

For one glorious quarter of football, Rosenfels and Chambers reached the heights of greatness and walked among the Gods: Marino and Duper, Montana and Rice, Unitas and Berry. This was their day and they experienced glory that only few have ever known in the NFL.

This was not just a divisional win, the first time the Dolphins have won back-to-back games, Sam's first interception in two years, or Sage's coming out party. This was a statement that the Miami Dolphins have returned to glory and the corner has been turned.

The Saban era officially gave birth last week to a new attitude, confidence, and determination that has been missing from this once great franchise for so long. The culture has changed and the compass has been reset. Only time and more talent are needed to capture the glory of the Super Bowl.

The corner has been turned Dolfans and one day soon we will be celebrating the ultimate prize. And it will be glorious........

I thik the team is getting better, but until we have a definite starting qb then I don't know how much this progress really means. With sages performance yesterday, I think its safe to say we could now cut gus and sage could be the "veteran" backup. Sage just seems a little goofy to be a starter.

Great... now all we have to do is turn one more corner and we'll have gone all the way around the block and be back where we started.

Guys, please....what do you think "turning the corner" actually means. Everyone posts here saying we need one more win, one more player. That isn't turning the corner. Our attitude and team chemistry has changed. It will take time to be champions, but the Wanny stench has just about blown out the door. Some players, such as Reggie Howard, etc will have to be replaced by good, young players for certain, but this team has changed.

Will there be losses and problems ahead? Of course. But this team has changed and the young guys are growing up before our eyes. Manny Wright, for one, is looking like an NFL DT. It will take time to reach greatness, but this team is starting to believe in itself and the corner has been turned.

The whole mentality of this team has changed so much. We used to be the team that was up and lost it, now we are the team that sees adversity and makes it work. This team has won these past couple games with all heart. That is something that is great to see from a team that was 4-7. If Saban can get these guys to play that hard at 4-7 he is a much better coach than what we all thought.

I was thinking that after last week's win at Oakland. But after the first three quarters of this one, I was shaking my head asking myself "how can a team "turn the corner" and still commit 3 consecutive false starts in a critical situation?". I think Nick Saban would tell you and all the world that he still isn't getting the consistency they need to win in this league on a consistent basis. There's still alot of work to do, but boy that was fun to watch. Nice to see some heart.

Beautifully articulated! I literally stood in front of my tv at the end of the game stating that to myself that I have witnessed (FINALLY) the next memorable chapter in our illustrious history since Shula retired - since Marino retired.

I was fired up, because to be honest we did NEARLY the same thing in Barfolo earlier this year and we nearly won another game late as well but failed. The success yesterday was ANOTHER large step in the right direction.

It was such a nice feeling to send that team home LOSERS! and it was such an important win in terms of building blocks for this team.

lets not get ahead of ourselves,it was a great comeback. The true test comes this week on the road against San Diego. However,I will agree that I did see a new attitude and I do think this will translate into future success.Problem is we still dont have enough talent .But I am very happy with where we are going.

Thanks dud. I think we have all been so pessimistic for so long, it's very hard to trust this team. Plus, Dolfans have always expected a lot from our team. We were spoiled for so long that we thought we'd always be a playoff team. Then reality came a calling.

Saban is righting the ship, but remember he inherited the Titantic, so this was never going to be an overnight fix.

I, for one, thought Saban could do the job, but it wasn't until last week's win over Oakland (after the Cleveland debacle without key starters like Zach playing) that made me believe that the corner has been turned.

We may slide back into depression next week after San Diego, but at least there is reason for optimism. Without hope, it is difficult to be a fan.

The main thing is that this team has let us all down so many times in the past...how many times when Wanny was here did we start good only to lose a couple of big games in a row? I like what Saban has done and the young players he's gotten in only 1 year.Time will tell if we've turn the corner or if we're still coming down the street.

Ozzy rules!!
