It's a shame our defense is playing so well, they say you should be able to win the game if you only allow 17 points. First game, our defense did not play so well, but they only gave up 21 points. Daunte threw the pick for 6, and he threw another one to give them great field position. Second game, our defense was once again dominant especially since they were on the field the whole game. They only allowed 16 points in that game. Third game, our defense basically won the game for us. They had two picks including one to ice the game. They only allowed 10 points, but again we only scored 13. Today was the capper, or should I say the crapper. The defense picks the ball off on a great play by will allen, JT also stripped it and ran it back. How many points do we get off those? SIX FREAKING POINTS! Does anyone else feel bad for our D as I do? To put your offense in such a great position to win and still fail to pull out a victory is pathetic. So who do we blame??? Here are the big three.
1. The offensive line: Daunte has been sacked more than any other QB in the NFL. Now, those stats have been padded by Daunte holding onto the ball like it was a baby, but at least more than half were because of the o-line. They can't run block, look at ronnie's numbers this year, his rushing yards are pathetic. Defenses are penetrating, forcing ronnie to run over 2 guys at a time. He may be a beast, but he ain't that good. Pass blocking is also pathetic. Daunte may be slow, but when he gets out of a play fake, there are guys in his face. EVEN MARIO WILLIAMS GOT A SACK ON HIM! How pathetic are they?
2. Daunte: He has shown improvement in the last couple of weeks, but not enough to be good enough for me to say he is an nfl starter. I don't care if he always starts slow, he holds onto the ball too long, and gets sacked alot. His mistakes have lowered in the last two weeks, but there isn't the firepower out of this offense that there should be, but how can you have firepower when it's 3rd and 18? And no, we shouldn't start joey so stop talking about it!
3. Coaching: Namely Mularkey and Saban. Now I am high on Saban, but this year's draft class was pathetic, I'm sorry. Last year, Ronnie brown was a starter, Travis, Channing, all three are starters, and matt roth is a future starter. This year our draft sucked. We wasted a number one pick on Jason Allen??? Talk about a waste, that guy was not good in college, just watch the video on youtube to get an idea of what he's all about. Derek Hagan may or may not develop, and the other 3 are developmental prospects. No starters is what it boils down to, and we really needed help in the secondary and o-line. Now comes to idiot Mularkey. He has blown two potential victories with his fancy idiot play calling. Third and one against pittsburgh you run a college play flip to ronnie brown???? The fancy bullcrap doesn't work that well in the NFL, and the capper was the two point conversion where you have ronnie brown throwing for the game tier???? You don't mess around with less than two minutes to go you idiot, just run it up the gut or let daunte try to tie it up. His playcalling has also been pathetic in the games too, I haven't seen daunte complete a pass that was caught beyond thirty yards, yet we have the strongest arm in the game.

I still think we can make the playoffs, how can a team that is this talented not make the playoffs????
