Diehard Phinatic!
Let's remember guys, Brian Daboll is a Bellicheck disciple and he worked with the Patriots from 2000-2006, so he knows their system and knows how to game-plan against it, on the same token yea I know Bellicheck is a considered a mastermind so he will adjust as well, but remember last year the Browns destroyed the Pats under Daboll's system 34-14, so hopefully he has something up his sleeve and we can come out week 1 and have a really nice game-plan against NE!!!
1. New England might be having a harder time preparing for the Dolphins than the other way around.
The Patriots have won four of the last five matchups against the Dolphins and out-scored them 79-17 last year in two wins, so most observers aren’t giving the Dolphins much of a chance when they host the Patriots next week on Monday Night Football.
But this is actually a tricky game for the Patriots, who will be the first team to face the Dolphins’ new offense under fresh-faced coordinator Brian Daboll.
The Dolphins have several new pieces – Reggie Bush, Daniel Thomas, Charles Clay, Clyde Gates – and a new attacking scheme that no one in the league has seen yet.
“I’m not sure anybody really has an idea of how we might come at them,” coach Tony Sparano said Sunday. “And I think the way we’ve been utilizing some of these different players has shown less predictability right now as well. We haven’t scratched the surface there yet. Obviously there’s a bunch of things that we’re practicing that we haven’t shown right now.”
Think Bill Belichick isn’t worried? He remembers full well Sparano bringing his Dolphins team into Foxborough three years ago and smacking the Patriots around with an unpredictable gameplan (the Wildcat).
Daboll also was partially responsible for handing the Patriots one of their two regular season losses in 2010, when his Cleveland offense gained 404 total yards in a 34-14 beatdown of the Pats in Week 9.
