I 100% believe we would of won yesterday if we didnt give the Packers those extra time outs at the end. It makes me sick that this team should be 3-2 right now, we had them by the throats and then gave them new life TWICE to win the game.

To top it all off Joe Philbin saying in his presser "they deserved the win, they made more plays" he can go F off this team, gutless coward. I hope these players revolt against this clueless coach.

Yep. Make them get to the line regroup and try to run a play. u could tell at times they were rushing trying to get a play in and we call time outs and help them out. its crazy how inept philbin is. I remember beiicheck one time at a press conference said he didn't call a timeout to ice the kicker because they were rushing on to the field trying to get set up and sure enough he missed the kick. Those timeouts helped them regroup get set and I think it cost us

I can't remember being more upset about a collection of things our coaches did yesterday. Utterly ridiculous. I agree though, if that time out isn't called we win that game. And also the fake spike. Give me a ****ing break Finnegan. How does he let him slip around him to get out of bounds. Just keep him in and the clock runs out. Oh boy this team. This team is and always will be one big excuse

4th and 10....clearly on their heels...and this POS calls a timeout.

I was already done with Failbin after he quit with 2 minutes to go in the first half against Buffalo, now I want him buried alive.

I lost my faith in him in last year's Tampa game. There was the major distraction of the bullygate scandals and instead of keeping his team focused, they came out flat, and clearly distracted. I also don't get the first timeout. If we wanted to save time in case we have to come back, do it at 2:40 or so when third down was over, not right before we need to punt. If the plan is to run the clock down, then don't call the timeout. Save it in case you need it for later.

Terrible HC! Honestly Average Joe is one of the worst HC in franchise history! Other bad HC you knew were bad, and accepting that was easy. BUT not Average Joe! He will string you along make you think he has turned the corner, and BAM a dumb ass attack and a loss. Followed up by a mouth breathing press conference of ignorance and stupidity!

I just watched it again on NFL Rewind to make sure... The timeout on 4th & 10 with a minute left was an ATROCIOUS call. I don't have any Earthly idea how someone could defend it.

Here is the situation:

Rodgers had just been strip/sacked and the Packers were looking lost looking around for a play to call with time ticking down. The game clock was running precious time off the clock. There was 8 seconds left on the play clock and Rodgers hadn't even huddled yet. It's almost as if he expected his BFF Joe to call a timeout for him!

The camera was zoomed in on Wake's face when the timeout was called and he gave a "WTF?" look to the sidelines - clearly confused.

roy_miami can cry til the cows come home that they've used this same strategy in victories before, but the situations were NOT similar. The Packers were on their heels, confused and dazed after a near turnover, had only 8 seconds remaining to call a play and didn't look set whatsoever. This was NOT the same situation that we have encountered in the past.

Philbin mentioned in his PC that they knew they were going to call the timeout in this situation, as if its some intractable rule he follows. Its the same thing his stubborn ass did when refusing to name RT the starting QB a few weeks back. He gets hung up on his own rules and doesn't call things on an individual basis given the unique set of circumstances. This is awful situational awareness and awful coaching all the way around!

Another thread on the timeouts......fantastic.

Yep knew he was going to call a timeout in that situation?!?!?!?! Average Joe probably had that covered in his PowerPoint presentstion!

I believe the 4th and 10 TO call was debatable at worst, and have seen many HC's, including Shula, make the same. The 3 plays prior had the DL going all out after Rogers. OV, who had a great game, had a hit, hurry, and strip sack. He was winded as was the D. Giving them a break, and making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be was far from a bad idea vs the best QB in the game.

The way the Dolphins are, Finnegan would've kept him in bounds but Rodgers still gets the snap off with 1 second left and still wins it with a TD. Wouldn't shock me in any way.

here's what pops my head: where was Hartline yesterday?? Sims?? Matthews?? Clay had 'a' catch.. gee thx bro

The 4th down timeout was not good, but what kills me is that on that second timeout, we did it to get the right defense on the field, and yet Philip Wheeler is out there covering a receiving TE on the boundary by himself.

SoS, roy, don't care who is out there today defending the coaching staff. You're not going to sell anyone that that was good coaching.

Hey, lets not forget about the fumble that we could have jumped on to end the game.
Rodgers had the ball knocked out and they got it back. had we got it, game over.

The end of the game coaching yesterday was horrible. Hell there were casual fans watching the game in my bar saying "why the hell would Miami call a timeout there?" and "Miami would have won if they didn't call that timeout". I'm not saying the overall loss is all on the coaching staff because obviously the team all did things to make the loss happen but that last minute was all on Joe and the boys.
