Like many of you I look forward to Sunday's game with great anticipation. Finally, a game that matters in late November with playoff implications against (Gasp!) the mighty Patriots. If you would have told me in August that this would have been the scenario I would have smiled at the idea of 6 wins but conceded a Pats win in the contest. Not anymore.
These Patriots are good still in any ways. They have a very talented defense especially their front 4 and they have some very good skilled positions throughout their lineup. However, the injuries have mounted up to the point where even Belicheck can not scheme his way around it. They are wounded, doubt is creeping in and they face the new regime, the future of the division waiting in the wings to revenge their tormentor.
This is a game that will be remembered for years, the game that future seasons will carry the echo of. I felt the same pang in 1986 in the AFC Championship game when we lost our return ticket to the Superbowl against a division rival...which for you younger fans, happened to be the very same Patriots.
Let's put these ghosts to rest and embrace our destiny. You had a nice run New England, but I hope you bought the leather-bound commemorative yearbooks because that's the only thing you will have to tuck you in at night from now on...

I think its not the end , for years the defense had aged greatly and this year he has as many as 6 starters below the age of 23 and 4 rookies. Its even more telling that even adding the aging LB`s in the mix the avg age of this defence is 26.The defensive line is one of the youngest vince wilfork is 25, ty warren 25 and seymour is the oldest at 28 . The ILB guyton and Mayo are 22 , the OLB woods(24) and vrabel(31).
The OL avg is also 26 yr old .how can a young defence,a young offensive line and young LB core be be the end?.

That sure would be great!

If we're talking about a legitimate dynasty then one was never born.

You think we forgot because poor brady got hurt? Spygate will never be forgotten. The Taintriots deserve everything that comes their way. Here's to hoping the Phins make the first meeting look like a close game this Sunday.

The Pats NFL dynasty ended 4 years ago but the AFC east dynasty they have going on is still alive.

nice spin. As long as you realize it's always out of sight out of mind when it comes to how we feel about the stinkin Jest. But the same can't be said about your brethren.

We have as many, if not more, dolphin posters on our board as there are Jet fans on this board. We are division rivals, we always think about eahc other. you guys haven't contended for years while we have been a playoff team 3 times since your last appearance but that doesn't mean we ignore you just like when yuo guys used to make the playoffs and we didn't you still thought and worried about us.

Yeah okay. You can say and/or type this one hundred times and it still won't make it true. You will always be viewed as second rate. :D

We have been a 2nd rate franchise most of our existence but a)we still sell out every week, b) we always beat the dolphins, c) we have made the postseason 3 times since your last appearances and D) we are in first place.

but good job trying to delect.

I would be thrilled if Miami made the playoffs in any way this season. I'll be happy if we're still in the chase with a few games to play -- which looks likely, but not guaranteed.

Regardless, I'd love to see the Pats lose the division. If it isn't Miami, the Jets will do just fine. To have the Pats miss the playoffs entirely would be even better, of course.

Frankly, if I were a Jets fan this week, I'd probably root for Miami to put the Pats a step closer to elimination. If the Jets and Fins played for the division in week 17, with the Pats already gone, it would be a good year in the AFC East.

But maybe that's just me...

i never understood how this weekend everyone is picking the patriots to win. you would think that like we r 2-8 the way they r talking about how the pats r gonna win this weekend. these people just dont realize that the pats rnt the same team they once were now without brady, and that even in the games theyve won this year they havent looked so great besides the broncos game. also i guess these people forgot how we dismantled them week 3 in foxborough.
