It seems everyone has forgotten last years start.... funny how "expectations" lead some off the cliff here.... and soon the lemmings will follow....

Right now it's one game... suggest waiting until after the fourth game to take a more rational position.... everything will be out in the open by then... and after that.... it's how well the coaches and players make adjustments... and team health that will play out the remainder of the season.

That said.....

Some issues remain the same on offense... WR's don't scare anyone.... and the current starting QB does'nt scare anyone down the field.... no playmakers.... mainly because nothing was done to correct this weakness from last year... this is not news

Some issues remain the same on not so "special" teams.... as above... this is not news

It stands to reason the OL will improve... they have better players this season.... give it time...

It stands to reason the defense will improve... as above....

So the point is.... the things we knew coming in that didn't change should not be a shock and generate all these negative posts.... it is what it is... and in reality maybe it's fans "expectations" that need to be examined...

Disappointed in game one... sure... but lack faith (as some here do) that the staff and players will work their collective azz's off to make it better... no... we're a middle tier team striving to get to the next level... and there's reason for hope...

Change will happen... always does in the NFL.... give it time... and lay off the dead horse... what good does it do... huh

couldn't agree more. also, let's give credit to the falcons. if they play like that every week, they will win a ton of games.

The point is, we play against much better offenses this season who can score points.

These teams are not the 49ers, raiders, an injury riddled Seahawks offense, or the rams.

Other teams are just stacking 8 or 9 in the box against us. We have to find a way to beat that, and it's very hard to beat that if you can't throw the ball deep downfield... When we are playing on a shorter field than other teams when they are on offense.

On defense we have to cover every single blade of grass on the field.. On offense we have to beat 9 defenders in a very short area.

Not easy to do. And it's very hard to win that way on a week-to-week basis playing with those chips stacked against you.
