Deep down, I had written off this game. I'm sorry, but when Jay was picked to start, I knew it would end badly.
I wanted, tried to believe otherwise. :shakeno:
Feeley was the better choice. With more practice time, it could have made a big difference today. Clearly he needs to be the starter as we go on. He will make some mistakes, but Jay has regressed badly.
Fielder KNEW HE HAD TO PLAY HIS BEST. HE FAILED.
Feeley may not be the answer either, but he sure gives hope, unlike Jay. If AJ fails too this season, then Wanny and Rick must answer for it!!
Wanny for not preparing Feeley, but instead splitting valuable time with his "boy" Jay. The offense would have been better with a known starter all this preseason. Instead Wanny left it up in the air, and it cost us today.
Rick must answer for not bringing in a vet QB instead of Feeley (if he fails to improve as this year goes on) and allowing Jay to stay when he should have been gone, not used as Wanny's security blanket. I'd actually let Rick stay, if most of his other moves pan out this year, but if Feeley fails it means Rick is ONE more bad mistake away from the door. :fire:
