No doubt that we will have several opportunities to go deep against the Pats. Especially if we are patient and establish the running. We should have some chances for some play fakes and long balls. THis is where Gus needs to hit a few and get out of that funk.

flea flicker, deep to Chambers... they need to do it.

Gus needs to throw it up in the vicinity of Chambers and let him go get it. If he gives Chambers a chance there's no doubt he beats Gay or Samuels.

with what qb, stop getting too excited.

GUS IS STILL OUR QB.

and newsflash: HE STILL SUCKS.

I think Linehan needsto get Gus focused on the quick 5-15 yard passes that put the receiver in a position to run after tha catch. Play to what little passing strength we have.

The deep balls have not worked yet, and their not going to until we have someone else throwing them.

Chambers needs to get a little OJ in him, and do what ever it takes to come down with the rock! He must step up his intensity!

not only the deep but i thikn the slot will come in handy to this game, look for wes welker to have a decent game at recieving....

Gus has been poor. But we ALL know that he has a damn strong arm. The opportunites will be there, they have to be executed.

CORRECT, the slot man has the potential to have a nice game against the Pats. We have a lot of mismatches we have to exploit. But this all HAS to be set up on the ground.

I agree. Chris has all the talent in the world. He lacks intensity and desire to do what it takes to get his job done. There are some occasions when he looks unmotivated and misses passes that were catchable, has given up on routes, etc. Pour a little OJ in his *** and we have the WR we've been waiting for for the past years

Did we even throw a deep ball against Atlanta? When was our last deep(30yrs or better)completion?I can't seem to recall. Sage to CC is one but I'm talking about our starter Gus.

Chambers may miss some passes, but don't say he is "unmotivated", he wants to win and make plays just as bad as anyone else.

There are occasions when he is unmotivated. I'm certainly not the only one who feels this way. For one example: Chambers is to UNMOTIVATED to fight for a pass that would have prevented and INT. Instead, he chooses to give up on the play, try to tackle the guy and move on to the next offensive series. Another part of his problem is that he is UNMOTIVATED to go over the middle when his speed can be a nice attribute. Why does he dislike going across the middle so much? Because he got his head ripped off a few years ago. Guess what? Time to move an and play football and be motivated to do ALL things that add up and make you an elite reciever.
