Burnett and Dansby are a joke, when I do notice them most of the time they're being blocked.

If I am Ross, I fire Nolan first.....there is no reason for this group of players to play this poorly, the DC does not put them in position to make plays....they react to what the offense is doing instead of dictating......a 7 minute drive at the end of the game when the game is still on the line is unacceptable......know it's becoming clear why that little **** in Denver let him walk away........
Or chasing the play, two steps behind the receiver.......its almost if we have no idea what the other team is running, its like its the first time tthey ever ran that route and caught us by surprise.....

and this is why you keep sparano around. alot of this is not sparano's fault. i mean, he is what he is, but the root problems of this team go beyond sparano and it goes to ross and not paying players. they are playing to stay injury free. At this point, i miss frank kearse. at least he would play for a job.
what i mean is...you keep sparano around to see who else is doggin it. believe me, they are all being looked at right now. and sometimes it comes back to bite the players in the ***. cus they go to another team or want to but coaches end up on these teams and word spreads around the nfl that they are dogs and just want money. so who will be stupid enough to sign these guys for the big money?
We will rebuild with a whole new regime and around a top draft pick in a QB.

the hardest thing for me to grasp is we have almost the exact same defense except Burnett replacing Crowder, Reshad Jones instead of Clemons and we got Odrick back. Its not like we lost half our D and have a new coach or something. Idk what is wrong with this defense but they have been the worst part of this team, along with the offensive line.

They were overrated last year. The signs were there last December

Exactly. Last few games of the season, the defense fell apart. Wake was being shutdown. They didn't force turnovers all season, not just in the last few games. The signs were definitely there. Sadly, there just isn't a lot of talent on this defense. Y Bell is basically done. He wasn't great last season, and now he's a year older. Merling & Odrick haven't produced - whether due to injuries or lack of ability. Soliai has had a few good weeks in his entire career, period. Starks hasn't been the same since we started jerking him around from end to NT, back to end. Misi is weak. Dansby hasn't shown me anything. We expected a playmaker, that was his track-record. He's not a playmaker in this defense, and he wasn't last season. Burnett is flat-out awful. Sean Smith is an inconsistent guy. And even his "up" weeks do not really include impact plays. The Reshad Jones-Chris Clemons combo is an abomination.
Seriously, there just isn't a lot of talent on this defense. The overall ranking was pretty meaningless. The team finished 7-9, lost to some bad teams at the end of the season, finished 1-7 at home. Are those signs of a top 5 defense??
