The defense should shut up

Maybe Jim Bates should play defense for 60 minutes instead of changing up the scheme when it really counts. How often do we see this defensive scheme let up in the 4th quarter playing prevent.

I haven't rewatched the game, but I recall a couple of times the announcers pointing out that there was nobody to throw to because we had 8 in coverage - and rushing 4 was getting pressure.

Game's on the line, so what do we do? Blitz.

Refuse too admit wut... i already sed we are done for the season... im just saying its not ez with all the players hurt the ones out had too try harder.
Gee, with 70% of the salary cap on the defensive side of the ball, they should ALWAYS be giving their best! Instead, like many times in the past, they just folded when they were needed the most. Plain and simple.

Notice, I am not taking blame away from the offense, but at least the offense did pull it together enough to get the game tied up.

We were blitzing a lot early on. They should have been putting more pressure on Carson. Instead they let up.

They do if they've been on the field for virtually the entire game....I don't wanna hear anybody blame anything on the defense...cause if you are, then you're just stupid...Giving up 3 field goals in a game is one hell of a performance. Just because our offense can't do a dam thing to anyone and we lost cause of it, don't go hating on the D. I was proud as hell of the D.
Hello Einstein....it was the offense that tied things up......remember? Like it or not, it was the DEFENSE that gave the game away in the end instead of being men, stepping up, and sending the game into overtime. Yeah, some performance. Let them perform when they are needed most and see what happens. I'll tell what happens......they fold. They've done it before and they will do it again. By the way, the Bengals D was on the field as much as our defense was and they not only shut down our rushing but they spent enough time in Feeley's face to get his autograph for the entire friggin stadium! I wonder why they held up as well as they did? Afterall, they aren't supposed to be one the leagues top defenses like ours is.

I'd agree with you but a defense that doesn't allow should get minimum blame. The defense can't afford the offense giving up points. This might not be a "championship" defense but they gave up what 225 yds? Do you realize the offense has 24 first downs this year? Our defense is top notch, after 2 games I haven't seen any other d play as well as ours, Chris Brown ripped us up but 79 yds to the defending MVP? I'll stand by this stat 19 pts given up by the defense 14 by the offense.
