The Defense.

Am i the only one thinking that this defense could be a top 10 defense this year. i mean i know its the jags but the 1st string D shut them down. and i love how paul was showing more blitzes and actually putting pressure on garrard. we will actually get to the QB this year! and yeah. i have 100% confidence in both sean smith and davis. i have no worries at all for them too. but i really hate eric green. he seems so confused and out of place every time the ball is thrown his way. but yea. i got big hopes for the D. STOKED FOR THE SEASON TO START! WOOOH!

As they say, defenses are usually ahead of the offense at this point. But with that said it definitely looks like we've upped the overall talent level. I cant wait. :hi5:

Will Allen & Sean Smith locking down receivers..

I think this defense has some excellent potential.

i am actually thinking top 5. we were not that bad last year on D and it seems like we have made major upgrades. Andre Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald will not own us like last year.

i dont quite agree with top 5 yet. the DB's are still a little undecided. and the NT position is a very questionable one. no depth there. although soliai is improving. ILB is still a position of worry for me too. theres no way i put the phins D up there with the likes of the steelers and the ravens yet.

I am with you bro. Their defense will be one of the better units in the league. It all starts with pressure up front.

Not to mention that Sean Smith shut down Torry Holt in his first NFL appearance. It wasn't just some guy. It was Torry Holt.

There is no doubt about it... I personally am thinking our defense will be in the top five or six of the league...

Defense looks very promising. If Smith continues to improve he will make a big deference. NT appears to be shaping up and our DEs are tough. Jason looked good and Porter looks in midseason form. Channing looked good and Akin is as stady as they come. Top 5 for this unit is very possible.

I think we have alot of potential but with so much youth in secondary and an aging Ferguson it will be hard to be top 5. I have no confidence in Solai as a starter if Ferguson goes down.

Especially with a bunch of young inexperienced CB's and very little ILB depth.

I think this DLine could be special tho, Starks, Langford, Merling, McDaniel, Fergy and Soliai . . . with Dotson third stringing all 3 spots. That will be the biggest factor for this D. Also the Safety tandemn.

Let's see them against Buffalo with Sean Smith on T.O. and Will Allen on Lee Evans.

1. Giants
2. Steelers
3. Ravens
4. Vikings
5. Eagles
6. Titans
7. Panthers
8. Chargers (with Merriman back they're better)

I'd probably round out the top 10 with us and the Jets.

the Eagles are on there, the Bucs will be in for a rough year IMO. they are not as good on D as most people think. Pats and Bears could challenge for top 10, no doubt.
