hopefully will prepared him for the step up in grade as he takes the reigns. I personally think it would be better for him to slide into position over the course of the season 0 to 1 vs, getting thrown in right away.

In any case, this PDF I have prepared shows that he has at least been exposed to a decent amount of NFL bound defensive talent, and even as a Frosh and Sophomore showed sparks of the frozen vein field general he ended his college days being.

The Defensive Talent Beck dealt with during his college days HERE!

sorry pdf opens at a low percentage. 150% makes better reading for those of use who wear glasses

yeah hes faced decent comp but u know wat they say youre only as good as the players around you well beck was better while leading byu to a winning season thisis not a recruiting power house he made the team competitive every game the talent he had around him would not have made north western senoir highs football team lets look at it like this he was the team i mean he never had a bad game were very lucky he did not go to notre dame cause he would be a top ten pick he is a steal if he starts first game of the season he will be used same as p.rivers was .....very limited role he will end up playing a couple games this year ..........mark my words .......i need friends man holla at me

An interesting thought

Beck is 1-1 (at best if memory serves) vs Eric Weddle.

By comparison, Eric Weddle & the rest of the Utah secondary shut down Calvin Johnson in the 2005 Emerald Bowl. Further, the Utes laid 38 on what was the top 10 Yellow Jacket D that year. Its circular logic but fascinating none the less IMO.

What is truly fascinating...

is the ease with which so many buy into the "talent" kool-aid in evaluating prospects at each level. Scouting services have gotten so entrenched in our collective sports psyche that the "stars upon thars" mentality goes virtually uncontested in the media.

Eric Weddle gets drafted in the second round yet he was supposedly a 2 star recruit out of High School (which means that some mommas basement live in watched a highlight video and made an arbitrary decision before sending his list into Rivals or Scout for his c-note and free yearly subscription to the site.

I long for the days back before the Bowl Coalition screwed things up and when you could watch a college game between any two schools regardless of exposure and prestige and listen to solid color commentating. Where the guys at the mics would make it exciting with respectful commentary for both teams. No condescention, no Boilerroom Cartel Syndicated bull-crap, no man love gushing game-a-thons dedicating the entire 3 hours to why player X is sooooooo gooooood. Oh well, one can hope :boohoo:

:cooldude:

the college competition factor isnt that huge in my eyes... Ben Rothlisberger played in the MAC with Miami (Ohio) against powerhouses like Buffalo, Ball State, Toledo, etc... obviously Alex Smith played in the same conference as Beck, and plenty of small school guys havent had a problem progressing in the NFL... i dont see it as a big deal...
