I've been guilty of posting negativity, but as I walked to the store, I noticed something. The Dolphins were 4-12 last season. However, the Dolphins are 1-1 this season with 14 games left to go, and Ricky did not play yet. We also have a lot of new players that will get better as time goes on. On top of that, so far this season we have played respectively. There were no blowouts, and for the most part the Dolphins do not have their true franchise quarterback yet. Instead of viewing this situation as the end of the world, we need to look at this as the start of something good. When I watched Emmitt, Troy, and Michael get inducted into the wall of honor for the Cowboys last night, I remembered when the Boys were 1-15, then went on to a dynasty. I along with others must learn patience, as hard as it may be. Once we get our franchise quarterback, and a line to protect the backfield we should be okay. I am still mad at Ronnie Brown, but I think this is the start of something good. Channing is learning under Zach, man our defense is going to be sick. Once the offense comes together, watch out. The Patriots will eventually start to decline, the Jets will not be worth squat, because Pennington is already on the decline, and the Bills ain't sh**. Brighter days are coming.

Who's rebuilding? The only thing Saban's ever hung his hat on so far is that he hasn't declared this season as anything in order to prevent the players from providing excuses as to why they might not deliver if indeed they have a bad season.

if you replace every single coach on your staff, get new people in the front office, implement a new type of offense and defense and get new starters at key positions, it's fair to say you're rebuilding

"It's fair to say." ................ c'mon man.......... that's your own translation. Ya teams "rebuild" ......ok right, that's like saying, "Hey guys, we're going to suck for a long time, but please re-order your season tickets." Give me a break.

you interpreted my usage of "it's fair to say." i don't mean it's fair for nick saban to say they're rebuilding. i meant it as a figure of speach. such as, "you can say they're rebuilding" or "looks like they're rebuilding to me." of course saban isn't going to say they're rebuilding, what coach would?

........because it's evident Saban doesn't believe that. If we were to use your logic, this team would consist of nothing but cheap, 1st thru 3rd year players. Notice he signed a significant amount of veterans. Saban didn't say rebuild and he certainly hasn't said anything resembling it. Not one thing. He's wants a competitive team no matter who's on the field or what year it is. Again, calling it a rebuild or even remotely hinting at it is giving up without effort.

nope, they're rebuilding

Well...I've heard at least 2 of the veterans bristle at the idea of "rebuilding"...They would prefer to call it "retooling"...Given the amount of vets that were added in the offseason...I don't feel like looking for the link...just trust me.
