This is my mock draft of who I would take based on needs and talent. Not a prediction of who the front office takes.

Biggest needs in my opinion.
1-CB we have one worthy starter and a bunch of questionmarks, that one worthy starter may be on the decline also. Need to draft 2 IMO.
2-DT Ferguson is a stop gap and Solai is a waste of time thus far, we need a real NT to develop
3-Wr- We go suprising results from our receivers but we need to add another piece and not a developmental guy
4-Ol- we have no depth, Solid starting 5 potetentially but when Joe Berger is your depth you have none
5-OLB- Porter was great last year is not getting younger and later in the year faded bigtime, Roth was solid first year. Not our biggest need but Porter and Roth may be short term.
6-ILB- Akinole is OK but nothing special
7- TE- Last year of contract for Fasano and Martin. Need a guy to develop
8-S- no depth but solid starters, Bell is always injured though

Could also use an upgrade at punteror kicker. Both have thier good points but there are better options in draft.

1-I am torn on this first pick. My top three are Vonte Davis, HAkeem Nicks and Ron Brace. Think its early for Brace but there are not many top caliber NT prospects.

Hakeem Nicks is my choice. The only other receiver I like right here is Bey from Maryland. Have bad feeling Nicks will be gone though.

2-Ron Brace DT- Mammoth player seems like he should be better at the NFL level and is a better prospect than Solai to be our longterm NT.

2-Best corner left- Sean Smith CB- Also like Mickens.

3-Best corner left- Mike Mickens CB, also possibly Coye Francies or Dominique Johnson

4-Antoine Caldwell C- One of the most versatile linemen in draft.

5-Jason Williams OLB W Illinois. Had good workouts but things happen on draft day.

6-Anthony Hill TE NC ST- Good size and good potential to develop

7-Graham Kano FSU K-P Worth a shot to get better

7-Curtis Painter Qb Purdue. Him or Nate Davis I actually like Painter as one of the better prospects in the draft

As a free agent I like
Ian Johnson runningback or Marlon Lucky

Ive seen worse.
Nicks is good
Brace is a reach
Smith may not make it to 44. Mikens is ok
Caldwell is fine, but we need a OLB here or earlier
Like the TE, Gano, Painter is a waste, rather have the Orange FB

I have a tough time believing that Hakeem Nicks, Sean Smith, Antoine Caldwell, Jason Williams and Graham Gano will be available at the picks you have us drafting them.

I'm also not a fan of Mike Mickens anymore. Nor Dominique Johnson. But I wouldn't have issues with Ron Brace or Coye Francies where you have them.

not a fan of this draft

nicks is good but has show to be lazy and just dont know how hard he will work... i mean, how do you let yourself gain 17 lbs in between your combine and proday in a few weeks and be way out of shape... come on. I like Britt better than him now.

i think clay matthews or darius butler is a better pick here

The dude pulled a hamstring and was told to stay off it. Once he was cleared to train again he dropped 9 pounds immediately.

I'm guessing he was under-hydrated at the Combine weigh-in, he couldn't work out so he gained about 14 pounds of mostly water weight in between his Combine and Pro Day, and then when he was cleared to work out again he dropped down 9 pounds.

I know from personal experience that I have one stable weight when I'm working out regularly, and another stable weight when I'm not working out at all, and those weights are about 5 to 7 pounds apart from each other. And Hakeem Nicks probably has a third of the body fat percentage on him as I do, so his water fluctuation is going to be even higher.

It's extremely misguided IMO to just up and call him "lazy" all of the sudden like that. Extremely.

Too much into him gaining the weight. Britt cannot hold Nicks jock.
I would never take Matthews or Butler over Nicks. Nicks will be a stud and does things that none of our current receivers can do. I like Bey alot too.

I agree that some of them will not fall, always hard to predict. I still think Mickns is a stud at the next level.

I can't think of two receivers that are more unlike each other though, between Hakeem Nicks and Darius Heyward-Bey.

My theme this year with the receivers has a lot to do with the routes they ran. Darius Heyward-Bey, Jeremy Maclin, Percy Harvin and even Michael Crabtree...these guys ran a ton of leveraged short routes or verticals. Look how long it's taking Ted Ginn to "get it" at this level. Is that what we really want to go through again right now?

Guys like Hakeem Nicks, Kenny Britt, Juaquin Iglesias, Brian Robiskie and Jarett Dillard have had a lot more exposure to pro style routes. I'd have priority toward them on the first day if that's the position we want to go with, with guys like Dudley Guice, Dominique Edison and Johnny Knox coming into the picture a little later on.

Not ratiing them on how alike they are, just thier pro potential. Dillard I think also is a gem later on. Robiskie to me offers nothing that we dont already have.

I'm really not all for drafting Brian Robiskie, trust me. But I do think he offers us a little that we don't have. He's got the QB-friendly nature of a Greg Camarillo, while really having much better tangibles.

No matter how much he worked at it, Greg Camarillo is never going to be a guy that could tape up at 6'3" and 209 pounds, run a 4.46 to 4.52, have a 37.5 inch vertical and a 6.72 cone drill. Davone Bess will never get to those numbers, either. Neither will Ernest Wilford.

But Robiskie does have something with common with those guys and that is his ability to think and run with the Quarterback's vantage in mind. Robiskie's routes aren't "genius" or anything like that, but one thing you see is that he does run with the Quarterback's perspective in mind. He'll flatten out just the right way, he'll cut back just the right way, he'll be consistent with his routes...he's a very QB friendly target.

Just don't expect him to do anything that will make your jaw drop.

I don't think Jarett Dillard is a "later on" kind of guy anymore. He's got second round written all over him and honestly, I don't see much separating him from the first round. He has genuine first round physical tangibles in his leaping ability, along with first round hands, and high first round balance and route running talent. The only thing he doesn't have is the speed to go deep. There's a reason the guy caught so many TDs, though. He'll be killer in the red zone, despite what you think about his physical tangibles.

Dillard could go anywhere from 2nd to 4th in my opinion. I think he is better than last year's suprise second rounder Avery.

It's taking Ginn a long time to get it because he has only been playing WR for five years. Most WRs that make it in the NFL have that much experience at the position by their 2nd or 3rd year in college. Heyward-Bey already has six years of experience at the position before his first day in an NFL uniform.
I myself would like to see Hakeem Nicks being our #1 draft pick but he seems to be drawing a lot of attention from other teams.

Yea I am convinced that someone will take him before 25 hopefully Im wrong. I want him or Vontae Davis or maybe Bey with our first round pick.

Also CK nobody saw Merling or Henne falling that far last year.

Other notable major drops last year.

Brian Brohm

Almost every receiver

Dan Conner from 1st to 3rd
Mario Manningham 1st t 3rd
Beau Bell 4th round
Kellen Davis 5th round
Carl Nicks 5th round
Barry Richardson 6th round
Steve Justice 6th round
Adrian aRRINGTON 7th
Davone Bess Undrafted

You are probably right though that everybody wont fall, hard to judge who falls.
