The Dolphin Backup Qb situation.

The Patriots are another team to look at their backup QB situation. We know Brissett and Maye are locks but they will have to decide between Joe Milton who looked good the other night and Bailey Zappe will be their number 3 QB.

Milton has more long term upside but Zappe would be an upgrade over our current backup QB situation.

I’d keep a 5th running back like Chris Brooks, or an extra DB like Storm Duck before I keep Mike White on the roster.
We better keep 5 DB's, especiallly since we have so many good looking young DB's.

We don't need to keep 5 RB's, 4 is plenty and we can stash one on the PS.

If Mike White doesnt show significant improvement then we need to move on and save the $3.5M in cap space.

The Browns backup QB situation is another one to pay atention to.

Somebody is going to be the odd man out between Dorian Thompson Robinson, Tyler Huntley and Jameis Winston.

DTR is the most likely of them to be released and he had a decent game the other night, 14-18, 134 yards and a 97.7 QBR.
DTR is interesting to me

Unfortunately I think they like what they have.

Agree. we can write off any replacement QB unless he's noticeably better than Sky/white. They won't move for 'just as good or close.' AND, that replacement has to be able to play for very little. Not necessarily vet minimum, but not several mill.

point taken, so you wanna stick with these two then for this season?

I don't think it's 'wanna.' More like 'haveta.' I didn't watch ALL PS games, but several. The backups who looked good won't be cut. Several looked worse than Sky/white (yes, it's possible), but won't be considered by Mcd. I don't think Tanne will play for what Grier/Mcd offer.

Al was a powerful Fullback in the Csonka mold. Or perhaps Csonka was in the Bundy mold.
Ed O'Neil was actually a pretty good College football player. Good enough to get a training camp invite and tryout with the Chuck Knoll Steelers as a LB.

Milton from the Patriots looked the best from all the games I saw last weekend, I can't see him being released unless he craps out big time this weekend.

I didn't think Skyler was that bad to be honest, one bad pick but compared to other backups around the league, pretty much on-par

You know what Reagan said, Ray.

Trust but verify...... I can't verify here.

PS: what does their opera Co. have to do with Stetson, the hat or the player?

In the 1850's, Central City was sitting on a gold mine - quite literally. It was called the richest square mile on earth, and at that time it truly was! A couple of products of historically significance have been identified as being developed there, including the Stetson hat and the coil spring mattress.

All those millionaires needed "appropriate" entertainment, so they built an Opera House there and the NY Metroplitan opera put on productions. While my son lived in Central City, the "Met" used the opera house every summer for productions. They rented houses in town over the summer for the players and musicians.

This information "can be verified" if you choose to look it up. (See what I did there) - LOL
