The Dolphin Backup Qb situation.

i mean if its neck and neck like mcdaniel says at the end of camp you cut white and save 6 million dollars..right?

and then we can poach someone else off their p squad.

Yep. Any PS guy is fair game as long as he goes to your active roster. Pats ain't keeping 4 QBs on the active roster so it's a waiting game. I'd imagine they're going to explore trade options knowing the odd man out will get poached.

Andy reid played every starter this past week, even fat travis kelce, seems like this is the week to play the starters, I believe thats what we did last year ?
Starters likely get a quarter or so in the second preseason of the modern NFL. Starters seem to play less every single year.

I'd certainly be looking to upgrade when the final cuts happen. I have rather limited faith in our backup QBs to say the least.

And 100% off topic, Atlanta signed Jakeem 'Stone Hands' Grant today (or yesterday...). Didn't know he was still around.

ok cool, so like I said if this skylar/white comp is so close and continues to be ''neck and neck'', like mcdaniel said, why wouldn't we cut white to save the 6 million? and then poach someone who we can develop?

point taken, so you wanna stick with these two then for this season?
I dont really have a solid opinion to be honest. There's no reason NOT to look to improve, but we might be surprised by Thompson... AJax and Rob Jones got better for sure...
White... I think we have seen what he has. Not much.

wait, I dont think Tua played in the preseason. let me check

I would love to see an upgrade here! Not sure at this moment who would be the right candidate.. many listed here for me to explore. Buuut realistically do we feel McDaniel will cut ties with Skylar and Mike before the season begins to potentially upgrade? What are the odds of this happening?

Maybe after another pre-season stinker by these two and he will feel pressed to do so!

he did play last year.

To begin the game, on the very first play from scrimmage, Tagovailoa threw an interception to veteran Houston linebacker Denzel Perryman. Luckily for Tagovailoa, the quarterback bounced back on his second drive, completing five of his next six passes for 61 yards as Miami scored a rushing touchdown to open the scoring.

Problem is asking someone to come in and learn this offense without being able to take camp and preseason reps in it is likely to be a disaster.
Eh which is why I find this unlikely.. who knows but maybe a qb that Mike feels really confident about and one that's familiar with this system

Heicke? He looked worse that Sky and White combined. Were you out getting beers with Cullin and missed it? 😆
Idk. We've seen him as a starter for a season. I think he's better than either of the guys we currently have personally

Are you inferring Garapolo? - LOL
Not necessarily but would feel better with him than the two we have. I'm over Mike White already... I want to believe that Skylar can handle the role but I'm not holding my breath with him. His mental processing has always been concerning to me

Not according to my research. The original Stetson Co. was out of Philly, and now Garland, TX.

Check with Central City, Colorado.

When I was there, they took credit for inventing the Stetson and the Modern Spring Mattress.

That was back when they were the "richest square mile on earth".

The Metropolitan Opera Company was still doing their summer operas in Central City.
