Hey, did Al play QB? - LOL

Pretty much where I am at too.Not necessarily but would feel better with him than the two we have. I'm over Mike White already... I want to believe that Skylar can handle the role but I'm not holding my breath with him. His mental processing has always been concerning to me
I dont really have a solid opinion to be honest. There's no reason NOT to look to improve, but we might be surprised by Thompson... AJax and Rob Jones got better for sure...
White... I think we have seen what he has. Not much.
Agreed... the fact that Skyler got first crack at the job should be concerning to White... then he really didn't look good at all.Pretty much where I am at too.
I think if we do bring in a new QB, Mike White will be the one we cut.
thought he would be goodLooks like the Vikings are fixed with JJ McCarthy touche touche.
here's the problem with white, he tries to make up for his lateness with one trajectory bullet throws that have 0 touch and pace relative to the route, its ridiculous..its like bad chad henneAgreed... the fact that Skyler got first crack at the job should be concerning to White... then he really didn't look good at all.
If the race is really neck and neck... and that isn't just coach speak, then the tie should go to the improved player over the guy who seems to have peaked.
It would be better for all of us if Thompson wins the job.
Agreed 100%. But more importantly, they aren’t good enough to lead this Dolphins’ team to wins for multiple games as a starter. That’s why I am 100% certain that if Tua needs to miss multiple games, they will sign or trade for a much more proven vet.Our backups are awful. Both of them shouldn’t make the team. Neither could win us a game in a pinch.
Cutting White clears 3.5 mil. But then Cotton takes his place in the top 51 at 1.1. So we would save about 2.4 mil. Honestly I say cut him.i mean if its neck and neck like mcdaniel says at the end of camp you cut white and save 6 million dollars..right?
and then we can poach someone else off their p squad.
ok cool, so like I said if this skylar/white comp is so close and continues to be ''neck and neck'', like mcdaniel said, why wouldn't we cut white to save the 6 million? and then poach someone who we can develop?
Of course, there's 31 GM's all saying the same thing. Hell, the guy was one spot away from being a undrafted free agent. You could argue EVERYONE was smoking. And to think we could have had Purdy instead of Skylar. What was that scout smoking?
Yea..I mentioned that in the GameDay thread. Hayes guy got in and caused Skylar to be disrupted. Definitely don't blame him there.. Plus, most the drops in the game were on the soon to be riding busses recieversI want skylar too, after a closer look, pressure that was given up affected his throwing angle on the int.
he just wasn't sharp on the run like he's been in practice.
but at least he wasn't a little bitch imo like white
White was lousy on the Jets too. We need a vet who has actually won some games as a starter.I am not confident in either of them to be honest.
White has not been good in a Dolphin uniform and Skylar is just not good enough to be the backup.
I would welcome bringing in a Vet with legit experience to back up Tua and I would seriously consider drafting a QB next year if I could find one with a Tua like skill set in terms of quick release, accuracy and processing.
I would Draft one pretty early too, not 1st round, but 2nd round would be on the table for the right guy.
