The Dolphin Backup Qb situation.

Tannehill makes all the sense in the world. He can certainly run a PA offense, and throws a pretty deep ball.

I wouldn’t mind Zappe if he’s cut loose.

There will probably be a half-dozen options better than Thompson or White, but I’m not confident Miami will take any of them.
I think T-Hill would do really well in our O if you just told him to pick one of our deep threats (or short on every other play) and throw it immediately without his typical thought process. He has the arm but always overthought things. Let receivers deal with good and bad. We just have a really good bunch of receivers right now who can deal with bad throws. Imo

There are a lot of 3rd stringers on other teams that I would take over our current set. Best outcome...Tua doesn't miss any time.

I'm not too sure how I'd feel about....maybe a flier on Trey Lance. Something like Thomspon and Wilson Jr for Trey Lance. McD was in the player evaluation aspect for him when he was in SF.
I think u can find better qb than Lance. When team cut down to 53 man roster.

Tanny didnt exactly have a great receiving corp while with us.

He didnt seem to have problems connecting with AJ Brown.

We have guys that can get open, I think he will manage. (Although I'd imagine he will eat a lot of sacks behind this oline.)

I can live with the sacks if he can still move the sticks.

Tanny would have Hill and Waddle
.wishful thinking I know

I don't see Miami making a change......

I have not been a fan of bringing Tannehill back, mostly due to style and fit issues, but I'm warming up to the idea.

Whether it is us or someone else....RT is going to be a hot commodity once a starting QB goes down

Yes.

Sorry but he is not.

I may have put up solid completion % numbers but I can't even count the yards he wasted because he threw behind a guy or made him slow down to catch the ball, instead of hitting him in stride.
64% completion % for his 11 year career with 216 TDS/ 115 INTS and 34,000 passing yards. You don’t know WTH you are talking about.

Some team will surely cut someone when team have to get to 53 that are better than the two we have now.
Better in what context? Long term upside maybe, but would they get enough reps in what's left of camp, in a complex system to be effective?

I have my doubts. If they were going to bring in someone, the time to do it was a month ago.

Yes.
