Again...Joe slips by Finheaven. Ireland is an asshole people say...Aponte is a bitch. Where is Joe in all of this?

A quality gm can and will be found regardless of who is around at the moment Hayden. The job is an attractive one regardless of how you want to spin it.

Ireland was here 6 years. I think most are afraid of Aponte. I have yet to find anyone here that is even remotely close to your disdain for Philbin.

No way. I cannot believe you would let Joe Philbin stand in the way of getting great GM candidate like Gamble. SMH.
It is career suicide to have Aponte overhead and Joe on the field.
From everything I've read Philbin is well liked and respected around the league.

Why would Ireland say bad things about the coaching around Aponte knowing she is close to Philbin unless he wanted that information known? I don't think Ireland is that stupid. He wanted the information known. I think he was making a power play and lost.
Well the question to Dez Bryant about his mother and the signings of Legadu Naanee and Mark Colombo showed that Ireland could still be pretty stupid when given the opportunity. Kelly, maybe you underestimate him.

Take off the homer glasses. This is not a desirable destination for a high quality gm. No decent will want to navigate his way through aponte and Philbin trying to figure out what he has authority over. Fellas, we have seen this movie before, not with gm's, but with players (Peyton) and coaches (harbaugh and even Fisher) balking at our overtures or using us to get better offers from other teams. In spite of what Darlington says, watch how the search plays out. We will go after big names, they will not come here unless Philbin and Aponte are gone.

So what that he respected...it is matter of if a new GM wants to work with him and undoubtedly that new GM would want his own guy.

BTW, remember how long it took the Jets to hire a GM last year as they were bent on keeping Rex? Brian Gaine TURNED THEM DOWN.
