"The Dolphins are a nightmare"...Mando column to soon post

Look we are know Mando is Mando, but even a blind squirrel gets a nut now and then. We have heard throughout the season about the bond between Aponte and Philbin and the broken relationship and finger pointing between Philbin and Ireland, so I don’t get why so many are bitching about what Mando has written. From things we have heard all season this seems pretty spot on. Aponte was also involved in politics in Cleveland that hurt that franchise as well so why would you not believe she is doing the same thing here? She is the cancer that needs to go but unfortunately it seems Ross trust her the most.

Like a buddy of mine told me if Ross is cleaning house he needs to get the corners too not just the middle of the floor. This franchise will continue to be a joke until Ross does a complete power wash of this franchise…

I think aponte hangs around until we get a new gm and then she will leave for a job with the NFL.

C'mon. Does anyone here really give a crap what that guy writes? Can anyone give a single instance where something that he wrote had any effect on our team's performance?

The new GM should have the freedom to keep or fire Philbin. Don't know enough about Dawn's role to comment intelligently. Was listening to Omar on 560 this morning. Omar spoke clearly about the relationship of Dawn to the future GM's role. He said that Dawn would not have power over the new GM.

Omar also doesn't know the difference between Miami and Minnesota.

Again...Joe slips by Finheaven. Ireland is an asshole people say...Aponte is a bitch. Where is Joe in all of this?

I said all of this last night about finding a quality GM with Aponte and Philbin around...glad to see it is in print.

There are plenty of people here who want a clean sweep or would be okay with it. We just don't rant about it multiple times in every single thread.

Armando only high fives other reporters when Miami loses.

He doesn't high five anyone when the incompetent GM, who is his only leak within the building, gets ****canned for incompetence.

I'm sure he will post another scare article telling us to be afraid of Eric Mangini or Mike Tannenbaum or some crap. Meanwhile, the list of potential GMs comes out and it's actually... a really good list.

Does it seem like every one of his articles is a diatribe with one worst case scenario after another?

Yes, there are right ways and wrong ways to do things. And I realized this morning most of the years I've been on FinHeaven have been filled with fans correcting each other or bullying each other with their opinions of who is right and who is wrong about how what is a good GM, good HC, good Coordinator, Good QB and on and on and on.

It's sad that we are left with only our own knowledge of football to judge what happens with our favorite sports team because they have yet to prove in decades ... that they know.

Frankly, I liked some of the work Ireland did this year. But I saw behaviors from him that remind me of so many snake-like individuals during his tenure that I didn't like him as a person. I wanted him gone simply to have a new start and different perspective on talent acquisition.

I hope that Ireland's tenure did not breed a loyalty rift within the organization that will perpetuate with a new hire. And I believe this is the main reason most people agree you can't "half answer" problems with coaches and front offices. It has less to do with ability and more to do with creating a great work environment that can incubate success.

We're too divided as a fan base. We do love our team, but I just wish we had more unifying exercises and topics other than hating the people that run the team.

I like Tannehill. And like any situation that can help him truly learn and excel. That said, I believe after more thought that we need to completely clean house. BUT not at the cost of losing the talent we have. For all the negatives we have had in our staff and front office, we do have more talent now than we've had in a long time. I just want people leading our men that know how to coach talent regardless of the player's name, talent, position or ability when compared to another player.

I want to see leaders on and off the field that bring respect to this organization and it's fans. Impress us with your play on the field and humble us with your life off of it.

The more I look at the Aponte/Philbin allegiance, the more I realize that Ireland helped create this toxic allegiance/rift. And I'm concerned about the points many fans have brought up, like Hayden Fox, that while Ireland is gone he created a new problem with anyone following behind him. The "us vs. you" problem won't go away with Ireland. Philbin and Aponte have weathered a storm together than any new person didn't witness. Outsiders won't be able to break up this allegiance if he has to without causing feuding and creating a combative work environment. The players I love on the field can't reach their goals if the people leading them are too concerned about fighting each other.

I don't know anything about GM candidates. I don't have intimate knowledge of different head coaches. Most here don't. But we do want to win. And the only true measure we have of anyone is what they have done. But making decisions based on that is near sighted. Most times people succeed because of the people that go unnoticed or never get thanks.

There are reasons humanity has a tradition of thanking everyone who helped in earning success. Because everyone in your environment truly contributes or detracts from your own success.

53 of my favorite NFL athletes need help succeeding. I want what is best for them.

Aponte sounds an awful lot like Queen C**t Hammer from GoT:

...and there are plenty of people that rant each day that things are fine and the Fins are just so close. By canning the OC and GM, they are playoff bound. That is annoying too.
