How can Bill Parcells justify his treatment of Jason Taylor, who has been a model player for the Dolphins for years, give him the cold shoulder...then basically rolls out the red carpet for a pothead like Ricky Williams?

Ricky has burned this organization time and time again and I would wager that he will do it to Parcells in time.

Taylor was on that Dancing show and was out of trouble, not breaking any laws like some players always seem to do...yet he is the one who is the bad guy....sorry Bill, I just don't see your rational in this matter.

Let's be fair about this...if you feel this way about JT...then you must dump RW and move on for the sake of the team.

I am ready to move on without both these players and if we can get something for them, then all the better.

It's time for a new era of Dolphins football.

Keep in mind that Parcells isnt a Dolphins fan. He could probably care less about what happened to Miami in the past. He is here to coach. In the past, Ricky f###ed the dolphins over. That had no impact on Parcells. Now that Parcells is here, the only player having any impact is Taylor.

This is an easy question to answer............

Since Bill Parcells has taken over the team, he and Tony Sparano have spoken of every player having a clean slate. Ricky Williams has been to every offseason workout including all voluntary workouts. If he wants to be a part of this new organization, he is doing everything possible to show it.

Jason Taylor on the other hand, has shown that he has no intention of participating in offseason workouts or working towards the success of the team. As one of the better players on the team Taylor could have taken a leadership role and conveyed a strong work ethic that the younger players could have looked up to and tried to emulate. Instead, Jason Taylor has made it very clear that he is more concerned about himself and his popularity than he is about the success of his team. Instead of LEADING his current team to greater heights, he wants to abandon the team and land on a team that is already good so he can contribute at his pace and ride the coattails of that team to a ring.

The amazing thing is that a number of people try to justify this behavior with "he has done so much" or "he gave his all", as if that excuses going half hearted moving forward.

For those who work hard toward the success of the team, the current regime will embrace them, for those who wish to abandon the team or not work hard, the current regime wil be less enthusiastic about. It is no different than any other organization.

The difference between the two is Jason is lookin at life and $ beyond football, and is not really putting any effort into football right now. Ricky can't wait to get back on the field and is working his butt off in the training room to prove it. Ricky also needs the football $.

One is starving to get out of football, while one is using football to keep from starving. I would much rather have the second than the first

Really? He's the Dolphins Head Coach? I thought that was Tony Saprano or somthing....

*Wow....Never, ever, ever heard that one before. I think the last time was right before he was suspended...AGAIN.

don't forget Jason led the locker room rebellion last year. Cam was a bad head coach, no doubt, but model players don't do things like that. JT has become more and more selfish over time and now, he is at the point where he only cares about himself.
Rickly on the other hand used to be selfish, but now is the true model player that only cares about the team. he proved it by attending and working hard in the offseason program.

When RW breaks down or takes a toke again, don't be heartbroken. He's
a great football player, but, his heart is NOT in it. The ONLY...ONLY reason that he's still playing is that he can't pay back his debt to the Dolphins, and, to quote richard Gere
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZEXYFQZzGI

Though...The big glove thing was Louis Gossett and, the scene was alot better ;)

Maybe JT imploded last year..I can't imagine a winner not imploding. I would've melted down if I was in that locker room if the coach was taking the team the wrong way. RW is garbage. He doesn't love the game. He could care less. He wants to smoke pot and hang with Lenny Kravitz, but, he can't because he's knocked up too many girls.

the difference is that RW is in camp and working his butt off to get ready for the season. While JT may have been a great player in the past and may love the team, his ACTIONS say that he doesn't really care

JT played his butt off for this team for 11 years.

Please post the respective stats for each player and what they have contributed to this franchise if you dare. You speak of actions. Actions make stats, do they not?

Please post the stats for JT and, RW and Compare/contrast "Actions"

Dumb logic, put up Dan Marino's stats against, JT's stats, who would you rather have?? Past stats tell nothing about a player in the current day.

:lol:Love your sig. I wonder if his fate will meet the one of the 1st broke back star. I heard Tom Brady will be playing a pig farmer and JT falls off his shetlan (sp) pony to break his back.

And if he is suspended again, I would imagine this regime would treat him accordingly.............why is that difficult to understand?

Everyone got a clean slate in December and No special treatment for anyone. This is normal for most...............

JT played great for Miami for many years - agreed. BUT what is he doing now? New FO, new coaches, many new teammates - where is he?? Teams that make future decisions based on past performance will never be great. This new staff wants to see who wants to make a difference. The past didn't work. JT has shown he doesn't want to be here. CYA!! He isn't the Miami Dolphins. Good player but last year he was terrible - face it. He got destroyed at the LOS. TE's pushed him back 10 yards - he was constantly blocked by 1 guy - sometimes a TE - at 245lbs why not as an offense. It's pretty straight forward against JT - run right at him.

Ricky gives his all on the field - he is under contract and is here working his butt off. If he goes out there and puts up 1,000 yards do you think any Dolphins' fans are going to be happy? I'll be pumped when JT is officially gone - he doesn't give a rats *** about football. If he did he would be bulking up to a whopping 250 maybe. Miami had 84 guys available for OTA's - how many showed up --- 83!!! 83 guys out of 84 - WOW! The one missing - of course - the guy you are sticking up for.
