I am going to try and be objective as a die-hard Bills fan and resist the temptation to treat you the die-hard Dolphin fan how I was treated when I visited Miami in the 90's during a playoff game. I will always despise that city, stadium, and the people I met that day as it was a miserable experience. Long story short.....Probably because I had a Bills license frame around my NY plate people kept cutting me off.....(with little kids in our van!!) Almost got into an accident because of those FinFans waving their styrofoam fishes out their car windows......Stopped to get gas a few blocks from your stadium.....pouring rain!! The attendant kept stopping the pump so I had to keep going in and out of the store while getting soaked....Finally ! get to your stadium and stop at the Will Call to pickup our tickets on the morning of the game...The person at the window told me to come back tomorrow:confused: You gotta be kidding? The game is today! Anyways, finally I get my tickets after dealing with some mean people.....Back in the family van and next thing I know security has their lights on and are pulling me over?? They asked what I was doing? And they kept asking me questions and apparently were just giving me a hard time.
Finally, We're parked! Yeah...Get inside and the ushers start talking to each other as they see my Bills shirt! Oh no what now? Wife and a daughter, Gee, I'm sober, no cooler, hmmm? The older usher told me that we are to take our seats, and to keep our mouths shut, and that if he see's us yelling anything, or if we start drinking, or standing up obstructing other fans view that we will be escorted out of the place. Finally, we are in our seats, sitting, we decided not to stand up, leave our seats, get a drink or anything, even at half-time!!!!!!!!!! I'm sitting there, and I notice their is this guy in some kind of armor outfit (a mascot?) pointing to me a couple aisles over!! Great I think?? What now?? Being in the endzone their weren't many Bills Fans around to lend any support either. Now, I got hundreds of fans pointing at me....and I got people throwing cups, popcorn, and peanuts at me.....This was humilating! But, I kept my wits about me and took in the loss that followed.
All I got to say is Shame on all those that were a part of my visit! I will never visit Miami, it's beaches, nor pump money into it's local economy. I will tell you that I will not
be that way when you visit Buffalo though! Buffalo is known as the City Of Good Neighbors !!! And we might get alot of snow but it's wonderful from April to November ! Christmas is extra special with that white stuff ! Buffalo has great pizza and chicken wings too! You ALL might have had our number in the 70's, but we paid you back good in the 90's and after a Bills bashing Don Shula called it quits for good !! Yesterday, was only the beginning of many bad beatings! 7 Sacks !!!!! Great special teams....blocked punt.....100 yards rushing....Spectacular interception by Crowell....it was refreshing !! and it will be something that you ALL better get accustomed to! So come'on up here to Buffalo (Orchard Park)...I'll park you in my yard, take your money to park in my yard....treat you nice...as we whooop up on your team...and as you pump money into our local economy. Because we are the City of Good Neighbors, and we live in a good place, which isn't based on weather alone. We usually clap for our team, or yell come on get it together, but you RARELY ever find that a true Buffalo Bills fan will BOO their own team! Shame Shame Dol-Fan..:dolphins:
