They're too busy trying to fix the O-line 4 years in. One unit at a time...don't get ahead of yourself.
 
Is it just me or does it seem as though Ireland isn't doing jack. He seems to by extemely lazy in a lot of what he's doing, Larry Johnson signing, bringing in Tiki Barber for a workout and a number of other has-been RBs. I'm not sure what's up but he's either setting Sparano up to fail (as if he wasn't doing a good enough job on his own) thinking he's safe, he'll hire a new coach and milk Ross out of at least 3 more years of salary before getting canned. Or he just doesn't give a crap any more cause he figures he's gone at season's end any way.

Have we re-signed any players long term?

Either way I'm glad he's not trading away picks cause if he is gone and we do get a new GM/Coach (which we should) I don't want him screwing the draft up for the next guy.
 
Seriously why pay the man anymore? The only time I have seen him in the backfield this season was when he lined up as fullback!
 
This regime should go into "Costanza" mode. They should do the opposite of what they feel they should do. So in this case, I'd sign him to a long term deal.

I was thinking more like they should end it on a good note and then leave. "That's it, I'm outta here"
 
I said it when they franchised him, HUGE WASTE OF MONEY. He played one decent year out of how many ? In 54 games played the man has a total of 65 tackles and get this, 2 sacks. The stat includes the first two games of 2011. I know people were freaking out over losing him but as I said and now you all can see, he cold have been replaced in a heart beat, half a heart beat. The guy got his big pay day and he also punched out. He is not fast, he is not over powering, by his stats he sure in hell cannot get in the backfield and as of right now this season he has a total of 4 tackles in 2 games and he had plenty of chances as NE and Houston ran right at his asssss and he could not do nothing. He is getting pushed around big time out there. You need some BIG DTs to make the defense work good. The kind that cannot be moved around easily. Soliai is not one of them. If he plays the same way the other 14 games in 2011 the man will be lucky to get signed for a 1 year deal at vet minimum. Like I said though, Soliai had that money counted loooooong before he even got part of it. Just another one that has punched out and left the building. Due to his stupid funny franchise tag we have to keep him around this season. No team in the NFL would pick up his contract in a trade because he is worth about as much as a box of store brand corn flakes.

This is him being an idiot. He thinks that Langford is a bad DE. In fact called him lameford. Even though he is a top 5 3-4 DE in the league.
 
I think that they want to see him play two good seasons in a row before committing big dollars, long term.
