The douchbaggery of Channing Crowder continues, says Reggie Bush is a "glorified wr"

He is what he is. His only flaw is he was taken 2nd over all, if he was a third or forth round pick people would be going crazy about how good he is.

not really , its not like he has blossomed into a good starter. He is basically a third down back until he proves otherwise and thats where these guys get drafted

Or he would be half forgotten about like Darren Sproles, that is until everyone remembers him when he makes dynamic plays on national TV.

Crowder is 100% right. That doesn't mean Bush won't help this team win some games this year.

Jim Kiick said the same thing yesterday as Crowder.

And Manny Ferenandez killed Jeff Ireland and Nick Buonciontti thinks everyone is going to be fired in Miami and a bunch of players will be let go at seasons end if things don't turn around.

Crowder isn't alone with his thoughts on the Fins.

you guys get offended so easily. its hilarious

Lol. Nothing to see here, really. Get used to it. Crowder is part of the media now, has a radio show, etc. He'll be voicing his opinions, and most of you won't like it. The logic some of you use is funny. Crowder was a marginal NFL football player, therefore he doesn't know what he's talking about and his analysis means nothing, right? So, using that same logic, what do we know?

The facts are, he's right. Look at Reggie's career stats:

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BushRe00.htm

We all know about his injury problems, but as electric as he is athletically, his YPC never went above 3.8 when he had a good amount of carries. His career high rushing is 581. His career high receiving yards is 742, in his rookie season. It all went downhill statistically from there. When you look at the stats, it's easy to see what Crowder means. He's been more effective as a receiver than a RB. The number of receptions he's had over the years are comparable to a WR.

If Reggie Bush played for the Jets and Crowder said the same thing, I'd bet this thread would be completely opposite. Please stop being blind homers. Yes, Crowder has a big mouth and not enough talent to start in the NFL. It didn't work out with him down here. So what? Just being on an NFL roster for as many years means you're among the top 1% in the world who can do what he did. That's an accomplishment in itself.

And for all the people laughing at him retiring at 27, I bet you'd love to be 27, retired with millions in the bank.

"Golorified WR" isnt exactly an insult. I think Bush isnt a true RB, and Crowder isnt far of from his assessment. Bush can still help as a ton, but hes not rushing the ball for 20-25 times a game.

Off subject, but this this is what concerns me this year. A lot of people want Sparano and Ireland gone, but I like what has been done (for the most part) with the team except QB and OL. I would hate to see what is, in my opinion, a really good roster churned with a coaching and GM change. I think these guys are pretty close to having a very good team. Just need the QB situation figured out and some holes plugged on OL.

douchbaggery has to be the best word ever on a thread here, it is the reason i clicked on it

The truth hurts sometimes.

O wait, let me read this as a rabid fan......OMG, Channing does not know that R Bush is a feature back?? I hope everyone knows that we intend to run him 20 times a game for 16 games.

Channing Crowder sucks. Sucks as a radio personality about as much as he did as an NFL LB. Worthless, just goddamn worthless.

Sorry, but we're hearing from a guy who bought a translation book for the team's trip to London a few years ago. Let's consider the source before we light ourselves on fire over yet another comment.

Like everyone else, Canning Chowder is entitled to his opinion, which may even turn out to be right. However, the fact that he's now "media' instead of on anyone's roster does reveal in the most publicly humiliating manner, that he's not even considered one of the 60 or so best LBs in the league. :idk:

You gotta believe he's saying what he can to impugn and put into question the judgement of Sparano and the team which revealed, very painfully, that "the emperor has no clothes". Consequently, I take anything he says as agenda-driven and with a grain of salt. Just another Saban brainfart, AFAIC

well to be fair he retired rather quickly and said he had offers which is believable. I mean if Tim Dobbins and Austin spittier are on rosters im sure Channing could have found a team. Now would he start or get good money doubtful but he had been the starter here for three years even with Nolan as the new DC.
