there is a great article in the March 10th issue of Sports Illustrated about our possible #1 draft pick. This kid sounds exactly like the type of player we should be adding to our roster. For whatever this is worth Gil Brandt writes "I dont know of a player in this draft who doesnt have any negatives. Except Chris Long." Just thought i'd pass along this information, so we can aquaint ourselves with our possible pick.

Really all the guys being rumoured to be our pick seem to be good guys and hard working football players.

I read the article....Howie Long and his wife did a great job raising their kids. There is nothing not to like about Chris Long....I think he will have a great NFL career. I just think our O-line is a much bigger need than our d-line is at the moment, and Jake Long would give us the most benefit. I would be ok with either Long though.

I'll take Chris any day over anyone. If we aren't atking him #1 then we should trade that pick because he is the only guy worth it.

Agee 100%, In a year that has a lot of talent, but very little talent that jumps out at you, Chris long does look like the only one that would not disappoint if heis takent #1 overall.

I read that article last night..... my favorite part was that Chris learned to read other teams blocking schemes by how they set up before the snap. This kid is not gonna be another Matt Roth! Chris is ahead of alot of guys right now and alot of that is from the help/knowlege of Howie Long

While that is arguable, I can see why you think that. Quite frankly, I wouldn't mind J. Long, though I much rather have Dorsey or C. Long.

Talk about "drafting the Ginn Family"....look at the LONG Family....we get a HOFer that actually played the game and Defense on top of it when we draft the Long Family:woot:

I agree, but I've only seen highlights of CLong. What little I've seen and what I've heard/read is very good. I'm warming up to a combo of CLong and Sam Baker. It's all good, and I'd prefer another quality OT at 2B and/or 3.
Nicks, Collins, etc. Benedict might be an option at #4.

Nonetheless, JLong....

Yes, I agree as well. He is the absolute safest pick at #1. I don't see any way this kid will be a bust. I see some bust potential for everyone else other than Chris.
