The end of chad henne?

The only way he comes back is if Bill Cowher looks at him, lower jaw trembling, and says "I want you to be my QB Chad". Since this seems very unlikely to occur I think he leaves the traumatic off the field stuff that he experienced in Miami that gave him plenty of negative national exposure and looks to settle in some slower-paced midwestern location. I think Indianapolis as a backup is the best bet. Seattle is another possibility.

I think Henne's finished as a Fin. There's no way, especially after next years draft, that Henne will be our #1 option for QB. Even if we dont get Luck, which I'm just assuming we wont since were the Fins and have horrible luck (irony), we're going to without a doubt be drafting a QB in the 1st round. Ross wants a superstar QB to help sell the tickets (meaning, someone more exciting than Kyle Orton), and with just Henne/Moore/Devlin (or generic 3rd stringer no-namer) fans will not be satisfied enough to want to see the games in droves.

So if its Barkley, Landry, Luck, whoever, I'd put money on it that its going to be a QB, and its going to be a top 10 pick seeing as how were doing this season. Henne wont be able to assure fans that "He knows the system better" because it's A) a new system in the first place, and B) he cant even manage the game well come 4th Q and game winning drives. He has nothing in his hand to bet with to the FO or to the fans.

I predict he'll end up on some team desperate for backups, and possibly win a few games, but then continue his curse of blowing it late in the 4th. As good as he can be, Henne's simply not a winner. I used to be a big time Henne fan and had a lot of faith in him, thinking it was just Henning's offensive scheme that clipped his wings, but writings definitely on the wall.

I would love to see Henne come back as the back-up but I don't think he will be back at all.

Yet, there's some Henne fans out there, still thinking that Henne is the guy... LOL

Hard worker, capable back up that worked for a regime that is not very good at developing talent I hope he stays as he is a better option then Moore, Rosenfels and Devlin as a back up.

Hennes contract is up. New coach coming in. High draft pick on a QB. Henne is done as a Dolphins starter.

HENNE DID WIN THE CLEVELAND GAME, fool. MIAMI's "top 5" Defense lost it, w/an assist from COLUMBO. MIAMI continues to allow COLUMBO to exist, and its vaunted "top 5" "D" sucks major league ****.

THAT'S IT, PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Deal w/it!! Deal w/COLUMBO, and CAREY out of position; deal w/BELL being washed up; deal w/the BUST known as MISI; deal w/BURNETT being overrated, and possibly also DANSBY; and prepare yourself for the possibility of WAKE being totally negated, because he had/got NO HELP AT ALL. And be prepared to deal w/the world's stupidest FO and Owner until further notice.

You're right, Henne put 16 points on the board, which clearly should result in wins against any NFL team. The defense really dropped the ball by allowing a staggering 17 points in that game.

I hope Henne doesn't come back. Not because I don't like him as a player, but because he's not a good fit in Miami.

He's got the intangibles, but he's been scarred in Miami by coaching that destroyed his confidence by handcuffing him and actively looking to bench and replace him. For his own sake he's gotta get the **** out of this cesspool of an FO and coaching staff that harbors loser behavior and mentality. The team needs to move on to a new project for their own sake as well. There's no use in keeping a QB who didn't perform to his expectations any longer.

I don't think Henne was meant to be a star in this league, but I don't think he's destined to be a bottom dwelling QB either.

It's a shame the Dolphins haven't been able to develop a QB here in so long. A damn shame.

The point is that MIAMI SHOULD HAVE WON, and would have if the so-called "top 5 D" was for-real. Get it now, genius? That "top 5 D" stuff is an illusion: MIAMI's "D" is an overrated p/o/s. Shall we run thru it, so there's no mistake? Here it is: LANGFORD, STARKS, ODRICK, MERLING? VERY solid, fine! SOLIAI? Maybe...if he wants it, but will he want it consistently? WAKE? Pretty good: but he can't lead/dominate w/o a little help...and there AIN'T NONE! MISI? Bigtime BUST!! DANSBY? Solid, but not worth the money. V DAVIS/S SMITH? Very good but not even CLOSE to being "the best CB tandem in football"! (REVIS was RIGHT) Y BELL? Washed up: can't cover anyone anymore. J TAYLOR? Very adequate for "spot duty", but can't give a full half anymore, let alone a full game. R JONES? Sucks bigtime, plain and simple. CLEMONS? Not a good "playmaker", but adequate IF...he doesn't turn out to be frail. CARROL? Sucks, but his momma's the Lt. Governor of Florida, and ROSS loves "celebrity", so her little boy stays! W ALLEN? Who knows? He can't stay healthy anymore, so he's useless.

would definately like us to bring him back at a low price as long as we draft another guy

henne is most likely done as a dolphin. i wouldnt mind him coming back as a backup, but the odds are he wont settle for that role, and their prob will be a team that will give him a chance, one of the teams that misses out on luck, barkley, or jones.

i wish him all the best, it looked like he became a little more gutsy this year, etc, but at the end of the day, hes just not cut out to be a full time starter in this league. he can be a great back up qb, but thats prob as far as he will ever go.

I think this song fits best when talking about guys replacing Marino here...ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST...

why in the hell would he want to come back here? money? he'll get some money elsewhere. the fans? what a joke, we've wanted to cut off his left nut and feed it to him since year one. the winning team? we're about to rebuild. Nope I can't think of any reason chad would want to return.

Good, because I can't think of any reason why I would want Chad to return here either. Didn't do dick in college, didn't do dick here. Don't let the door.....

It's crazy, isn't it? At first I thought they were trolling, but it looks like some are taking homerism to a whole a new level.
