The fast paced offense sounds great but will the Dolphins OL be able to keep up??

Do the Dolphins really have the athletes on the OL to make this happen?

Is Incognito going to have to drop his big gut?

Is Jerry going to be able to reduce his body fat in order to play at a high level all game long?

Are they going to try to rotate OL throughout the game?

How many OL can be active on gameday??

What about Garner and Feinga?? Do they have any chance of playing in this system??

Should the Dolphins have drafted another athletic OL in the 6th instead of BJ Cunningham? Tom Compton and Andrew Datko were available and both could play OG or OT.

Are there any OL players out there that you think could help the Dolphins?? Free agents or through a trade.

Thats a lot of questions!
Perhaps, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, maybe, No idea, Yes, No, Yes

I think a fast paced offense will will work wonders in the Florida heat.

at least practing a fast pace O, will have our team ready for the 1st game this year and not get winded...practicing against that O should help with the conditioning of our D as well..

Long, Pouncey and Martin are all pretty athletic.......this shouldnt be a problem at all. The Cunningham pick was neccessary and I think he's actually going to be our starting Z. So needless to say, I wouldnt give him up for a lineman at this point. We have a lot more questions at WR than we do OL.

The O line has the advantage over the front 7. On offense you're ahead of the D and can anticipate the move, which takes less energy than having to overcome a blocker or change direction in pursuit. It works in college for teams like Oregon and Oklahoma, the theory is sound.

Knowing the Playbook is the only push they need. They didn't get to the NFL for being poor athletes with Big bodies. They still Run amazing 40 times with that kind of size, They can do it and I'm sure with a sound system in place they will be switching players out on long completions....something Miami super failed at last year. If we did get a big play we were almost Guaranteed a timeout right after, That can't happen and this is why other teams are better on offense.

Give Philbin a couple years and we could have a heck of a show on offense!!! Especially when playing those Pats twice a year ;)

I think moving forward the Dolphins will look for more athletic guards. Whatever happened to Jake Scott? I wonder if the team is looking at its young players first to see if anyone steps up. I think Murtha has a chance at RG for Miami. Igcognito is a stop gap who will probably be replaced next offseason. Jerry is interesting because he has good movement skills for such a big guy. If he can shed 20 pounds, Jerry might be the type of guard who could have success in this offense.

I would think a hurry up offense might be helpful for some lineman. You don't have to stay in your blocks as long when the QB is getting rid of it quicker in a fast paced passing game. It's the defensive lineman who have to run all over trying to chase the QB, and the defense isn't able to substitute guys as often. I think we can have a nice balanced attack, and I hope we use Reggie Bush and Miller in some quick slant plays. That's how the Patriots kill defenses, and we might as well copy them and go with what works.

Yes.
### At right guard, the Dolphins haven't ruled out available veterans such as Jake Scott and Kyle Kosier, but they want to see how John Jerry develops. Garner and Artis Hicks can also play there. Hicks was signed as a tackle, but could be used at guard because of the addition of tackle Jonathan Martin in the draft. Last year's starter, Vernon Carey, remains unsigned, by the way.

I thought they determined Carey wouldn't be a "fit" in the new scheme? Whereas Jake Scott would appear to be a good fit, but they didn't make him an offer as far as we know.

I thought the June 1st thing had become irrelevant, or; is there still reason to wait to sign a veteran??

I'm still really hoping that Artis Hicks is released. I think it would be a very bad omen if Artis Hicks makes the opening day roster.
