The Feidler Thread

Give Feeley the season to either improve or to seal his fate. Jay got 4 years, so one full season for Feeley isnt asking that much.
thats basically how i see it.

put fiedler back put fiedler back!..i know im gunna get blasted for this but you guys know that we were 4-1 woth fielder then he got hurt and greise lost 3-4 games then Jay came back and guess what he went 5-2 in the last seven starts, witha sucky Oline...people are you blind!
If you think Fiedler will make a difference you are truly a "tard"
This team has many problems. Fiedler was one of them and Wanny is the other. Bringing one of the problems back after getting rid of it isn't an answer.
This team will need to start over completely on the offensive side of the ball and most importantly in the coaching dept.

My god, you guys have the shortest memories, I swear do you not remember what Jay was like week in week out, sub par. You gotta let it go, he is not the solution.

Yes Jay Fiedler with Ricky Williams grinding the clock and stout D play plus a better line than this one can give you his 150ypg average and 1TD, 1INT, but he is just not the long term solution. Not behind this line, with no running game.

This season is a bust. Let AJ continue to play and then switch to Sage if necessary. Jay will just continue the funk this team has fallen into.

2000 11-5 playoffs 2nd round elimination

2001 11-5 playoffs 1st round elimination

2002 9-7 miss playoffs in final game of season

2003 10-6 miss playoffs in game before final one of the season

2004 4-12 playoffs? :roflmao:

If Jay plays, he's just keeping this team from any growth b/c he WILL NOT be here next year.

And maybe AJ wont either, but we dont really know untill he plays some more games and the running game comes along to give him something to work with.

And then if necessary degress to Sage.

Hey, if Jay does play, which he just might after tonight, hes not taking us anywhere. Jay is not a QB who wins games for his team. He is a caretaker. That is all. Your fooling yourself if you think Jay will come in and win games with his arm or talent.

Tennessee knew this. They gameplaned knowing Jay could not beat them with his arm. Rolle said this after that game. And with no running game. Well, it's just a sad state of affairs in Fin-land right now.

But you know, our down season was inevitable, It happens to everybody.

4-12 fired coach?

Actually it was 9-7 Jay's third year.. and 10-6 Jay's 4th year.

We went 9-7?

Yeah, just checked your right. I completely forgot this. How in the hell did we go 9-7 the year we finally got a back to run for 1800+yds?

Just goes to show that if we had the QB to complement the running game that year we would have gone deep in the playoffs.

The last season was what really ticked me off. We actually finished BETTER with Ricky playing WORSE and getting stuffed. How many times has a 10-6 team NOT made the playoffs?

Oh I have your answer... and its two words

Ray Lucas!

Wannstedt had the team he wanted in 2002, the power back to grind the clock, the caretaker quarterback who could even make plays with his legs, and the stout D.

And the experiment failed. Why does he even want to continue, that was the team of his dreams, and now that team is gone. He should just leave gracefully. His style did not work.

Next please.

Oh, Mr. Weiss, how are you this evening?

Jay had just as much to do with us not making the playoffs as Mr. Pukas.
He choked in 2 big games at the end of the year.

Bottom line is we haven't had a good QB on this team since Dan left.
Wanny the GM never made it a priority.

Wanny's neglect on the GM side and his idiocy on the coaching side has destroyed this franchise and it's going to be a big job to fix it.

We need some additions to the O-line, a reliablle QB, and a RB. No easy task. Fortunately were stacked with talent at WR with Chambers, Boston, RM, and Booker.

And our aging D should hold together for two more years hopefully.
