I just thought i would point out that our Fins did in fact prove today that they beat could beat a decent team handily without playing down to thier level.

A 13 point win is a quality win in the NFL, plus we left 7 points on the field, since we missed a FG, and had a TD called back on a penalty and had to settle for 3.

The offense moved the ball well today, and the defense dominated....If we can continue to play mistake free football and play a bit better in the redzone we wont have a problem with the fortywhiners.

This season has been absolutly amazing, i havent felt this much excitment since the Marino days, im really starting to believe we are a playoff team, gotta love it. :D

I agree, we outright beat the Bills. Its interesting how everybody hated Wanny because he didnt play to win, he played not to lose. If you really watch the games you will see thats what Sparano/Henning are doing. That last field goal, im sure Pennington could have flung a bullet to Ginn in the endzone and put up six. Instead we ran the ball, played conservativly, put up three and walked out with a 13 point win. I guess the primary differance is that Sparano and this Dolphins team play not to lose, and actually does not lose. Its a novel concept, isnt it?

The recipe for victory for this team is executing in the clutch and not making dumb mistakes. I don't think Tony plays 'not to lose' football. I think that with the way the D was playing today and Carpenter was kicking, he felt very comfortable settling for a field goal instead of risking coming away with nothing. Unfortunately, Carp came up a little wide right.

The thing that I love about this team is the confidence that I see building with them. There are no stars, no one with flashy numbers (except maybe for Joey), and each week the players all seems to feel that next week's game is the biggest one of the season.

That's the kind of attitude and team spirit that wins championships. And this is only year one! I honestly believe that we're only going to get better from here.

Im with you on the last part. My definition of "not to lose" football is knowing exactly what it takes not to lose and executing. He knew that he really did not need the touchdown, and anything can happen on a 9 yard pass to the endzone, why risk it? Unnecesary risk is what loses games. Just run the clock and get your three, get back to Davie.

i like a conservative style myself, so many posters here are quick to attack the playcalling all season long. they have opened it up when needed, like against the pats. its funny though you really cant win, if you dont run the ball people complain, if you dont spread em out 4 and 5 wide people complain, good thing we have quality coaches and not posters running this team

If you guys have noticed, aside from the New England win, our wins have all been pretty similar. We have a TD drive in the first half, usually within the first two drives, and maybe kick a few field goals the rest of the game and play tough defense and hang onto the win. Two of the shootouts, the New England home game and Texan game didn't turn out well.

I would love to see us score some more TD's in the second half of the game, but I can't complain bout losin.

A lot of people on this site don't like the way the Offensive Coach is calling plays Just my Opinion but i think he is doing a great job. Altho sometimes i question the play the majority of the time i feel he is doing a great job....
