Look no further...this is the problem!

I am depressed right about now, I am upset right about now. But you know what I just realized...there is no fire in these players. About the only players we have that do care if we win or loose have showed emotions throughout the season now and in the past are Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas. Saban although he has not been what I expected I feel that he will rebound next season. I feel this guy is smart he just needs the coaching depth at the professional level to suceed. I would hate to see him get that here and go on later on to another football team and make them champs. Patience is required when dealing with a lot of players that phsycologically have been affected by the dark regime (Wannt, Spielman, Wise) in the past. We cannot blame for Saban being over-aggresive. We can't blame Linehan because Saban approves every call in the end. I do blame the defensive coordinator. This guy was picked up from a Lions organization. I would much rather have Saban promote one of his LSU defensive guys and let saban call the plays on D. This D has been as pathethic and probably worse then the Offense. All I can say now is that next year a lot of guys will not be coming back that is guaranteed. From coaching to Players..Saban is finding who will and who won't be part of this system. I'm dissapointed because of Sabans supposively Disciplinarian attitude. I have not seen that yet..in fact I've seen him too happy when we score on a play or win a game! It's almost like his confidence level is down. I don't know if anyone else can notice this but I do see it. Saban needs a moral boost he needs Huizenga to let him know "hey man we're behind you, we know it wouldn't take a year so we'll buy you some time." Half of the dolphins roster unfortanutely would be 2nd team players on a lot of other NFL teams. In the end what I am trying to say is that Saban needs to be that disciplinarian he once was mentioned as and he needs to bring his level of confidence up a notch. He needs to be smart and play the players that will matter in the future. He needs to be a a realist and I know it's hard because no TEAM, NO COACH plays for the future but it's something that must be done. The nucleaus needs to be reconstructed down here. Chambers, McMike guys who once were promising stars are now players affected by the failure injected by the former regime. These guys need a new start somewhere else and this dolphins team needs a cleansing from head to toes. Goodbye Mr. Defensive Coordinator and unfortuantely I think Saban will be sticking to Linehan next year and for many years to come because in the endi t's all a process it does us no better to hire a new Coordinator next year. LInehans system will work with the right players and the right attitude. Go dolphins!

A depressed fins fan!

that made me laugh actually. i was depressed till that post. anyways, i dono but i wonder if they are seirsly trying to lose so they wont have to trade picks for Leinart or maybe gest the 1st pick or 2nd and then trade it for 2-3 more picks. who konws. but i wonder if its intentionaly this way.

It's just that it seems for the past 2 years nothing goes our way..not even the defensive plays...It's like this team is being sucked by confidencesucking leetches...The WR's are pure thrash...they can't make one single good play...

haha. man it is only a game, and just be thankful we only have to hear it from our firends of other teams, the players have to here it from their bosses, their fans, the media, and even each other.

I think we have a bit of a talent problem, but no doubt our biggest problem is a losing attitude. You hear a lot about good teams finding ways to win, well we always find ways to lose. Whether it's dumb penalties down the stretch, dropped passes, late fumbles, bad playcalling, etc. Until our guys gain a mental strength to play at the level they are capable of consistently, we are not gonna win football games. I thought Saban would be able to change that attitude very quickly, but it's been harder to do than I thought it would. I have no doubt that attitude will change under Saban, but it looks like we're just gonna have to be patient.

If i was the players I would be in no position to decide who I wanna hear it from. I hope they hear it from the owner, management, coaching staff. I hope they keep hearing until they realize they are playing to a level that is not even beyond high school player's standards. In the end we were all warned this maybe an 8-8 team at best. I think we're in route to that record...I think this team will start winning games when it won't matter anymore..it's just the Karma we've had around here for the past years.

I think you nailed it right on the head.

It's almost as if it was the curse that Wanny and Spielman left us...It's intolerable!

Its going to take years....I thought we may be able to breakthrough next year, but now i think the timetable has to be 2007 or maybe even 2008. We will stink for a while now.
