I think this should be our new catchprase "Move the hyphen"

from 1-15 to 11-5

it's mathematically impossible to move the hyphen with any other statistic at the end of the season. I think it fits us well, sort of like turning over a new leaf.

Although I don't think we should trademark it just yet cause we don't want to end up like 19-0.

What do you guys think, cool or am I just spending way too much time thinking about the Phins this week?

Off topic: you guys remember back in the day in those 25cent bubble machines you would see at the front of grocery stores they used to have little plastic NFL helmets for 50 cents? They just brought them back (or at least the first time I've seen them) they are about the right size to fit a 12 inch GI Joe doll. So naturally I blew $5 and emptied half the machine until I'd acquired the Phins helmet. I wanted it really bad because last year Burger King had a kids meal that came with a mini Jason Taylor jersey so now I can put them together.

That's awesome. Where is the helmet machine? I need to go empty $5 myself so I can get a Miami helmet.

clever find with the catchphrase. and you can NEVER think about too much dolphins. I would've wasted $5 too.

I still have those helmets (including two Dolphins).

Great idea!!! You should contact Mercury Morris at his Perfectville site and suggest they make a t-shirt with that "Move the Hyphen" idea. I sent him an e-mail and he wrote me back a couple weeks later. :)

Regarding the helmets, don't waste your money on the vending machine pocket helmets. Ridell has their Revolution helmets for sale by conference, AFC and NFC, or by division (4 packs). The quality is way better than the vending helmets and the colors are way more vibrant and life-like.

I am buying my 8 year old son the entire NFL set with the display case for Christmas. He is going to be seriously pumped!

Here is the best pricing I found from any website.

I have a "Dolphins vs. Bills" checkers game with a whole bunch of those helmets...

Used to love those things when I was a kid!

i have a helmet from 1997 that stays in my car aquired in the same manner.

what is the perfectville website? google didn't seem to find the right one

Best. Dad. Ever.

colts moved the hyphen first. 3-13 to 13-3. sorry to burst your bubble

Thats not really moving the hyphen though, because the numbers aren't in the same order. It's not possible to move it any other way then from 1-15 to 11-5 because you can't have a season starting with a 2. So the only way to get two 1s in a row is to have 115.

Oh another thing about those little helmets...they are not the same thing as the originals, the helmets are actually painted not stickers. Also the facemask piece is much more accurate and snaps inside the helmet now unlike the old ones that just cliped on the sides.

EDIT: also I found this machine at a Publix grocery store in Spring Hill, FL. I would imagine other Publix stores would have the same thing though so keep an eye out. All the helmets are pretty cool even though I only wanted the Phins, makes good cheap gifts for friends too, I was already able to give away two to friends of other teams.
