It was 2008, the first time in my entire adult life am watching my favorite team pick 1st in the NFL draft. With Bill "Tuna" Percells at the helm nothing could go wrong, right? All you do is draft QB and build around him, right ? So easy..no not when your team is cursed.

Then came 2013, you had all the money and picks to build a good, competitive team, right ? wrong ! Every player signed was as bad and every player picked in the draft.

Move on to 2016, this one is easy too, right ? You'd think. You draft 2 linemen, 2 linebacker and 2 corners, team fixed, right? Not if you're cursed.

I hate to believe in superstitions like this but am runing out of excuses for this team.

I started thinking that way when Zonk, Kiick, and Warfield went to the WFL..

lol...it's not cursed. It's inept from owner to water boy. Poorly run from the top and it effects everyone in the organization. It's a virus that apparently has no cure so far. We can only hope the new owner (also a New Yorker) isn't taking the team over just to keep this team down so the Jets have a better chance of winning.

When I became a fan in 03. Sorry guys

I believe the jets are 1-4 also. Funny how the two teams at 1-4 are connected to tannendumb

Excuse my ignorance, but have I missed something? New owner? I just got wood... please say it's true!

But for some reason, our 1-4 looks a lot worse than the Jets 1-4.

The organization sucks it starts at the top.
But if it was cursed I became a truther on the "illegal batting" play when Vernon (I think, maybe misi) was trying to recover a big fumble against new engkand

When Don Shula was unceremoniously let go. Yes, I am aware there were some playoff appearances since but Shula should have been treated with more dignity and respect in being replaced.
Jimmy J coveted the Dolphins head coaching job and Wayne bought into it. Perhaps it was time for The Don to retire, but they needn't have been underhanded about it.

And then what happens? JJ decides to quit after a couple of years but then agrees to return for one final season; hiring Wannstedt as co-head coach and heir apparent. The rest is history.

It started on a Monday night about 16 years ago when the Jets staged a 30 point deficit comeback in the third quarter and Jumbo Elliot of all people caught a TD. And then it was further cemented when Ricky quit right before training camp.

Unless I'm wrong the owner wanted Shula to get rid of some of his coaches. Shula told him he didn't want to bring in new coaches cause his contract was in the last year or something like that. Then the owner told no that he would give him(Shula) an extension so he could get rid of the assistants. At that point Shula decided to "stand aside" and JJ got the job. I love Shula but really he was done. His drafts had been horrible for years at that point. JJ came in and drafted a great defense but couldn't get the offense going. Marino was not the same the last 3 or 4 years and there was friction there too. The worst thing was wanny being named HC. That sealed our fate. He messed up the bears and then the dolphins just like tannedumb messed up the jets and now us too
