Has been some time since I have been real active on this site but after today's game I just can't help myself anymore. Any long time football fan knows that momentum is absolute key in winning and losing games. For reasons that would just take too long to list this team still continues to lose games by not taking advantage of momentum when they have or too often the case giving the momentum to the other team. :(

As long as we continue to play it safe and take field goals when we are on the 5 yard line with a 4th and short just to put something on the board, I am sorry but IMO the game was lost right there. We need a coach that is not afraid to show confidence in his team to convert a 4th and short that close to the goal line. Worst case scenario is you don't convert and the opponent now has piss poor field position and has to drive almost the entire length of the field.

What does our current and past coaching staffs do? Play it safe and go for three. Sorry, but field goals against teams like the Pats and Texans get you to one place....... the losers circle. I am tired of having a head coach that would rather play it safe than go for the jugular.

I am almost always optimistic as a life long Dolphins fan but after watching the entire body of work with the current FO I no longer have confidence in them producing a quality product on the field. Sporano is in over his head and I just can't see it turning around. I gave him some leeway coming into the season but especially after the first two games I have none left too give.

Sporano's tombstone will read Mark "turnstile" Columbo on it once he is shown the door.

I agree. Just when we start to get some momentum, our inconsistency kicks in and we give the ball back. I also want to see our team take a damn chance and go for these 4ths and short instead of kicking 3 points.

I know almost every fan makes jokes about the whole fist pump with Sporano but come on Tony. Grow a pair when you are that close to scoring a touchdown. Show some confidence in your OL and rookie RB (who looked good today BTW) and go for it. Even if you dont convert your players respect you more for showing some confidence in them and playing to win instead of playing it safe.

i hear ya. everytime we get momentum on our side, bang, turnover game over. we get the game to 16-10, have a nice defensive stand, get the ball back, first play, thomas up the middle nice run, but fumbles the ball, game over their.

this team is cursed, im convinced.

I don't think we are cursed, thats more a reflection of the coaching staff than anything else. I am sorry but this team did not look fired up the last two games.

i know the team didnt looked fired up at all the last 2 games, which is beyond inexcusable, but still their just is something about this team i feel is cursed.

when was the last time a big break went our way?

like i dont want to base it on one play, which im not, but just for example, we have all the momentum on our side, driving to possibly take the lead, and daniel thomas fumbles the ball. now, i guarantee u if thats the pats or jets, etc, that ball still ends up back in their hands and the drive continues.

us, it goes right to the texans, drive over, momentum gone, game over. its not just that 1 play today, its been like this for the past decade plus.

The curse will be lifted when they call the stadium Joe Robbie stadium.
That is why we cannot win at home.
It don't really believe in that stuff, but Ross might want to give it some thought.

I dont care if they start calling it Kim Bokamper stadium as long as we can actually get a win at home and stop giving the damn game away.

Critical turning points of the game and Sporano screws the pooch time after time. The blocked field goal instead of going for it on 4th and short. Piss poor game management. Thomas looked good in this game but what the hell happened to Bush when you need to score points if he is such a game changer?

How about brandon marshall dropping a touchdown in his lap. that gets my vote.

If you're going to criticize, at least spell Sparano's name right.....

I think the momentum issues are a reflection of poor player leadership, but I do think it's harder to have players behave like and develop into effective leaders when they're playing for coaches they don't believe in and/or are lame ducks.

True but he has given this team more big plays in criticals times than negative plays. But yes, he should have caught that touchdown pass. How some fans keep blaming all of our redzone problems on Henne is beyond me.

Seriously? Who really cares how his name is spelled? A below average coach with a below average winning percentage and a below average OL. Really his name last name should be mediocre. Who cares about spelling?
