I really hope Albert plays a full season... doubt it though.

Which could change overnight. You might think Evan Mathis is old but last year he was the 2nd best guard in the NFL (according to PFF). 1st best guard the 3 years prior to that. Mathis would solidify the position.

As for the other spot i feel good about Turner

It's hard to look at a spot with uncertainty and not want to plug in or add a proven veteran like Evan Mathis. Nobody wants to be unsure going into the season, especially at such a critical spot as offensive line.

But, at some point, you've got to see if the young players can play. I think that time is now on the offensive line and at linebacker. If Miami signs Mathis we're talking a long-term deal and he essentially blocks one of the young guys from starting. Would be different if you could get him for one year, but teams are going to offer 3-4 year contracts.

Here's hoping two of the three - Billy Turner, Jamil Douglas or Dallas Thomas -- emerge in a big way.

My Cali brother I hear what you are saying and I agree giving the youth a chance to succeed. My concern is if we have an injury to one of these starters, do we have enough depth to step up? I say it will be very tough.

No doubt. It's really hard for Dolphin fans in regard to the offensive line. This has been a weakness it seems for almost a decade. In 2007, Vernon Carey was the starting left tackle as he was easily the best player on the line. Kind of explains the Jake Long pick in 2008.

Anyway, a little off subject but do believe we have to see what the young players bring. Jason Fox could end up as a backup or plan B if Miami doesn't get production from the young guards.

do you remember 2 out of the 3 names the lions have lost ? this from the top rushing defense in the league last year, hell yeah i love our new interior dline
