This is the first time in a long time that I watched a Dolphins game and came way thinking we olny had three "bad" plays.
1. Fumble by Bess
2. Bess fielding a punt inside the 10 yard line (my pet peeve)
3. Missed FG.
OK Maybe four if you include the long pass given up by Goodwin. I dont consider the TD by Chambers a bad play for us it was just a good play by CC.

On the positive side...
1. ONE penalty today.
2. The goal line stand
3. Great catch by Greg C.
4. The defense in general played outstanding , in particular I thought Bell and Roth had great games.
5. The last drive was a thing of beauty!
6. R Brown had another outstanding game.

SIDE NOTE:
As the season goes on I think we are going to really start to see the areas that really need to be addressed. For example prior to the season starting I would say most of us thought TE was a position of need. Fasano has filled the roll very well.
I think we are very close on offense, we need help at WR and backup OT that is about it! BTW, Hagan was inactive today.

On that long pass they made on us, there should have been a false start called. Probably didn't really help to have that one guy jump, but it was very noticeable.

prob is we played almost aperfect game to win. we wont have perfect games like this. tahts why there is still lots of room for improvements and talent needed. so far its a great start.

another bad thing is that we are 0/16 on 8+ yards 3rd down conversions

that is for the season...

BTW, not to focus too much on the bad things but I would have liked to have seen Ginn do a better job of staying in bounds on that last drive.

thast what i said when i saw it too. it bothered me cuz hes not a rookie to make that mistake.

End result is much more disciplined, high energy team, really fun to watch, likened back to 2000 with that defense today.

missed fg's happen. he is a rookie.
what scares me more is how vincent jackson had 5 steps on our db's if rivers would of put that ball on target it would of been a different game.
Also major props to Chad for falling down in our own endzone and getting back up and throwing it away that could of been really bad too.

i was thinking that too than i thought after the second time ... maybe we are trying to score who is this team!?? haha

This is the one stat that I think we can blame on Chad's arm. He doesn't have the arm to make those longer throws when the other team is prepared for the pass. That along with our wide receiver core makes those long conversions difficult.

Our secondary is very vulnerable. I also wish we would go after a solid WR to complement our offense.

I think the argument that Pennys arm is hurting us is getting more and more ridiculous. It seems that unlike some people, Henning has found a way to get the defense to keep honest in the Wild cat formation. It didn't really seem like SD was stacking the box IMO. there are different ways to do things than what looks like the obvious and sometimes the more thought out ways end up giving you more than the obvious solution.

I mean that replacing Penny because of his arm isn't the only way to keep defenses from putting 8 in the box and it has given us a new way to utilize both of our stud running backs! Henning is a genious and i hope he stays around long enough to see Henne's first pro bowl!

That play did make my butt pucker... lol We are excited but we have to keep a couple things in mind. First, we are still lacking playmakers at certian positions (DB and WR stick out). Those positions are not going to get addressed until this off season. Second, this was the 4th game we have played with this defense (3/4). I think the players are still in the process of learning where they are suppose to be.

What play are you talking about? If you are talking about Jackson's 42 yards reception, Goodman was right and saw the ball all the way but misplayed it allowing Vincent to catch it over him.
