Is the low expectations......

I mean realistically it might not take a whole lot for Tony Sparano to get a Coach of the Year nod even if he was only able to win say 7 or 8 games with this team just because of how dreadful we were last year.

Ricky Williams could be a LOCK to win comeback player of the year if he were to have any kind of success, say playing a full season and notching 700 yards?

And if a guy like John Beck or Josh McCown led us to those 7 or 8 wins perhaps that person may even become a feel good story pro-bowler like Jon Kitna did when he led the Bengals to 8 wins. Provided they dont have god awful numbers. Maybe other guys will make the pro-bowl also because the Dolphins will be back on peoples minds, back in the limelight.

Certainly if this team wins 7 or 8 games (i expect anywhere from 5-7), which is possible, Bill Parcells and Jeff Ireland will get tons of praise. As will Sparano and his coaches, and Wayne Huizenga too. They will be a hot team to talk about going into next season, and it will really rejuvinate the franchise.

All they have to do is exceed the low expectations that almost everyone has coming into next year.

Good one! That's the spirit! I would be happy with that scenario playing out and I think there is a good possibility that could happen.

You better stop with all the optimism, because someone one is going to read your thread and hit you with a whole bunch of numbers and stats to show why we are not going to win more than 1 game next year....

700 yards for Ricky. Just cause this guy hasnt played Full year of NFL style football in a couple years doesnt mean his skills deminished. He can easily be top Running back in the league still. There isnt to many hard runners there anymore, only a few and he could still hang with them.

They need allot to go right. I have seen teams turn around pretty quick though.

There is nothing good about going 1-15! Even if you say that getting the first pick overall is something good about it, I remind you that there are no guarantees and a bust is just as likley as a superstar. In fact a bust may be a bit more realistic than a perennial pro bowler.

The best thing about going 1-15 is that:

you've had an outstanding season if you're a dyslexic!!!!!

Ok, but he's shown me no evidence that he's still that top runner you're talking about. If he's healthy and plays every game i think 600-700 yards is what i would expect from him, but that's not factoring in that being out of of football and not seeing significant carries for a significant amount of time might have diminished his skills.
