Is the low expectations......
I mean realistically it might not take a whole lot for Tony Sparano to get a Coach of the Year nod even if he was only able to win say 7 or 8 games with this team just because of how dreadful we were last year.
Ricky Williams could be a LOCK to win comeback player of the year if he were to have any kind of success, say playing a full season and notching 700 yards?
And if a guy like John Beck or Josh McCown led us to those 7 or 8 wins perhaps that person may even become a feel good story pro-bowler like Jon Kitna did when he led the Bengals to 8 wins. Provided they dont have god awful numbers. Maybe other guys will make the pro-bowl also because the Dolphins will be back on peoples minds, back in the limelight.
Certainly if this team wins 7 or 8 games (i expect anywhere from 5-7), which is possible, Bill Parcells and Jeff Ireland will get tons of praise. As will Sparano and his coaches, and Wayne Huizenga too. They will be a hot team to talk about going into next season, and it will really rejuvinate the franchise.
All they have to do is exceed the low expectations that almost everyone has coming into next year.
