ive heard ups and downs about us having a touch schedule. Some people say were gonna still win and some people say were gonna lose most of em.
Ive thought about some good things about losing and winning them.

Goods of Winning = If we beat these teams then we can finally prove that last year was not a fluke and that we are ready to be a SB contender in the future.

Goods of Losing = Have you ever heard the saying you have to beat the teams that are going to be in the big time games before you can get there. I believe it. Just by playing all of these good teams, It will only prepare us for next year against good teams. Another plus side of losing is that we will get a higher draft pick in the draft.

Now trust me i want us to win at least half of these games

Thoughts???

Only half?

I think it is a good thing. We made the playoffs last season with a young team. But, we didn't win a playoff game. Now we face a very difficult schedule. The guys know that they have to play their very best for us to back to the playoffs. They know that they have to come prepared against the very best in the NFL. So they will prepare and show up to play. Also, like you said, it will only prepare us for the 2010 season if when we should really be contending.

I think one of the factors in the Steelers run through the playoffs last year leading to their SB win was their tough schedule. You gotta be tough to make it through the playoffs and you gotta be tough to make it through a difficult schedule.

While many of our 2009 opponents are historically tough (not flash-in-the-pan tough) you never know what can happen to teams year-to-year. Both NE and Indy had big coaching transitions. It may turn out to be not so hard a schedule after all. It remains to be seen....

The only good thing I can think of that will come from having a tough schedule is that we will already have experience against good teams as we make our Superbowl run in the post season.

Very good points. When you take a beating week in and week out, you get used to it and end up playing consistently well even when you aren't facing good teams. That is definitely something that we, as a team, need to work on. Too many times this past year, we played down to the talent level of our opponents and (unfortunately for us fans watching) made it a sure thing that every game was worth the price of admission.

Also, as you stated above, teams do change from year to year. This could prove both good and bad either way you look at it... especially since I've already convinced myself that a tough schedule is a good thing (imagine how hard it will be to unconvince myself of this if our opponents all suck).

I would like to hope we are super bowl contender currently, especially if we keep winning games next season. After all, we did win the AFC East last season.

We played our best ball last year when we were facing our toughest games. So this year we should play our best ball week in and week out because all our games are tough. Also we as fans get to look forward to each and every game as they ALL we be huge games.
On a side note the really big games are the games vs division winners from last year that the pats don't play. These are the only two games that are different from what everyone else in the east has to play. Everyone is talking about how terribly tough our schedule is this year and forgets the pats, jest and jills also have the same schedule except for those two games. If we win those two games or even split those two then everything else is gonna come down to who is better between the teams in the east. If we go 5-1 or even 4-2 (as long as one team doesn't sweep us) in the division, and split or sweep those two games vs SD and Pitt then it is gonna come down to us and the pats and how we do heads up and vs the other teams in the divsion.
One thing is for sure we have to win every game that is close and stay healthy. We can't let a easy win slip away. Penny has to be as efficent as he was last year with not turning the ball over which may be impossible. And the two rookie corners cant play like rookies. Every snap will matter, but that being said I quietly like our chances. We have a chance to fly under the radar and be around at the end.
One thing is for sure it will be an interesting season, and a fun one from week to week.

Having a tough schedule will really help this team a lot. Don't forget that the Trifecta, with all of their roster purging, made this team a lot younger than it had been in the past.

Having a young team doesn't mean that you can't win games - we won 11 last year, after all. But the fairly obvious implication of having a young team is that the team as a whole does not have a lot of experience playing big games or playoff games. While it was awesome to beat the Jets in the last week of the season and win the division, I think we all saw that the team had some growing to do during the playoff game against the Ravens.

There's no better way to grow up as an NFL player than to play against the best. There will definitely be games in which the Dolphins take their lumps this year - that's part of the maturing process. But our team will see how the best teams prepare. They'll see the little tricks that veteran teams use before and during games to get themselves ready.

Our team won a lot more games than we expected last year. It will be much harder to duplicate that feat this year, although I hope as much as any of you that the Dolphins surprise again. But whatever the results in 2009, rest assured that the Dolphins - though still relatively young - will be sufficiently battle-tested and mature to make a serious run in 2010.

The good that comes out of losing is well..........Nothing becaus next year the team has to start all over again, even the good teams so win all that you can and hopefully the coaches inject a posistive influence on the team.

One thing is for sure, we will find out this season if this Fins team is the real deal or just one year wonders. I really do think it will be extremely difficult for the Fins to replicate last seasons 11-5, considering the weak schedule and good fortune with injuries.

8-8 for me would be a reasonable achievement for a team still in a re-building period.
