That would be a solution if it wasn't in every thread. People chime in on threads that have nothing to do with their "stud" player and mention how we should pick him up. Happens all the time. The threads aren't what I'm complaining about I can ignore those. It's the posts in actual reality based football topics that kills me.

As i said in another post, I'm convinced Martha Stewart could hold a more intelligent football conversation than a number of posters on this board.

Who is this John Smith guy I keep hearing about?? In another thread I heard he could be our 6th string RB. This guy must be a STUD!!! Can we get a personal profile, some stats, maybe even a 40 time? Does this mean we're going to trade Ronnie Brown for a 1st round pick lower than the one we actually used to get him? I can't waste my time yapping, I have to go pre-order my customized authentic John Smith jersey right now so I can be the very first one to get it!!! And to think when I came on here, I had no idea that I would end up spending 200 bucks, thanks a bunch!!

On a serious note. I agree with your post but we do have a guy on our roster who sorta fits the "Joe Smith" role that you described in the post. His name? Wes Welker. Wasn't he a training camp cut, if I recall correctly?

He was practice squad material and we grabbed him mid-season, I could be wrong though.
