Not to be a blind homer but the call against Hartline seemed very questionable to me. If it was Moss I doubt that call gets made…

That was a pretty questionable call considering the defender made contact repeatedly past 5 yards. If anything, it should have been offset penalties. It wasn't like Hartline's arm was fully extended for a push off. He was just trying to stop an arm bar by the defender.

It was a ticky tack call. You can see why they called it (extending the arm), but it's the type of call that should never be made. They need to get back to the days where they let the DB and WR battle it out a little.

agreed he didnt initiate the contact i would say it was self defense judge

I liked Hartline being "scrappy". I think more than half the time that does not get called...but he did push off. And the defender did hand check the whole way down the field prior. I'd hope the refs would let 'em play and not call all that "gray area" stuff.

it was definitely a crap call.... he pushed the guys arm off him so he could get down field. should have absolutely been PI on the CB

I know its not the reason, but I like to imagine that the ref was trying to send a message to Hartline that extending the arm is not acceptable in the NFL. I guess technicly it was a good call, but its the type of call that never is and never should be made.

He did push off, but recievers push off all the time. BS call.

I somewhat saw it but it was a crap call.

It was a good call, Hartline extended fully and pushed off. Stop being Homers

Definitely agree. I'm so sick of illegal contact pentalties. As much as I love Peyton Manning's commercials, damn him for complaining about his WR's getting mugged by the likes of Earthwind Moreland and Troy Brown in that AFC Title game.

I don't so much have a problem with them calling Hartline as the fact that they did not call a huge push-off on the Bucs first drive or any of their ridiculous holding. How come Miami is the only team that doesn't have home-team referees? Oh well, I suppose that this is a rehearsal for playing NE where the calls only go one way.

You are probably right about Moss not getting that call but he clearly pushed off creating the seperation needed to make the catch. It was a good call.
