One of this things that impressed me about last nights game was the TD that was called back (by a terrible call BTW). Why is this impressive? Because it put on display this team’s resiliency.

In the past 8-9 years, any time we've suffered a setback where a long play was called back or a score was negated, the drive would usually stall and end in a kick or a turnover. The fact that this team buckled down and punched it in anyway, shows the type of mental fortitude that has not been seen from this team in many years.

These are the types of things that you see from the really good teams in the league. While I'm not making playoff reservations or anything, it's a good start that will win us a few games this season.

Go Phins :woot:

EDIT: yeah, it was supposed to say the infamous TD THAT was called back...

what was the play that got called back? I didn't hear much about the game and I don't think its on the highlights

In the first half, ChadP throws a strike down the middle to Peele, great catch, three steps in the end zone, but the zebras said he "bobbled" it, which was a terrible call and completely wrong.

Two plays later Chad slings one to Fasano for six.

This is the 2nd pass play in two weeks that gets messed up by the refs.

Ginn's catch last week was thrown out as well. If it can be messed up then you just know that one of the refs in one NFL game will find a way to blow the call.

Infamous? It's preseason!! The games don't count yet. Maybe during the regular season, but not during preseason.

The announcers said he was a rookie referee. He better learn to call plays or else he won't be around long.

I liked that the offense kept moving. Cameron would have buckled.

So how many of you that didn't want "Noddle Arm" on our team are changing your minds?????

I said infamous because it was a controversial cal, and the word infamous gives the thread a dramatic feel. ;)

Bro, to be honest I wasn't all that happy about Pennington coming to Miami but he has been nothing short of spectacular in these two preseason games. If he plays like this in the regular season then there really is a chance this team can push for a playoff spot. I've seen enough of the defense to be convinced that they're ready and we all know the ground game is going to work.......

I've been happy with penny coming to teh team since day one, i've liked him since marshall and wanted the dolphins to draft him way back then. Seriously, how could anyone not like having him on the team?

I was all for the move too as soon as I heard we had a shot to get him. His leadership and smarts are really going to help this teams morale. I know it's only preseason but look at the difference in the team since he got there.

I was just getting to my seats when that play happened. I cant believe they didnt see it on the replay, they have every single tool to get it right, and they dont

The score should've then been 31-0.

Peele had about 4 steps in the endzone before going out of bounds. That referre should be cut from the final referee roster.
