the NEW YAWK JETS hired REX RYAN, the baltimore ravens defensive
guru as ther head coach.

so, how did the jets effect our draft?

how many of us wanted free agent players from there team [like suggs].

all those guy on defense for the ravens LOVED rex ryan and in fact, ryans
schemes are a good 70% to there success. so, any of the ravens D that
hits the free agency are going right to the jets to be with rex ryan.

can you see terrell suggs in excorsist green? if he becomes a free agent,
i say thats a 90% lock.

and others, like the ravens center/guard may also follow him.

FREE AGENCY effects what teams do in the draft. if we were to land suggs then a pass rush lb would NOT be taken in the first 3 rounds.

if we have targeted there center, and he is gone to the jets to play
guard, then we have to find a guard/center. signing him would have
freed up pics for db and wr [our two biggest needs].

so not only this year, but for the near future the jets are going to be
the front runners for a lot of ravens talent.

not to mention he is a DAMN good defensive mind.

this move seems to have been pretty quiet around the finz boards but
i believe this signing is going to have a fairly major impact on the finz.

U GOT A POINT...hopefully parcells stays and thats hould be all that matters is parcells staying here for atleast 2 more drafts and he can probably build us a contender ...

Yeah but do they have the cap space, they just signed alot of boys last year. Loyalty and all but money pays the bills. If we can offer more money and no state income tax plus the wonderful weather. Tough to pass up an extra 2mil a year.

i am just saying that most of these players will be giving the jets
first dibs, thats all.

money can ALWAYS be found and the jets dont seem to have a problem
over spending for ANY player.

The Jet's are in cap hell so NOOOOO I don't see the guys you mentioned in Jet's green, espcially with the uncertainty at the QB spot.

How many OLB's making top dollar do you think they want? Pace, Gholston and then Suggs! I believe they'll go hard after Lewis and/or Scott.

I agree about suggs, that does suck. But the ravens center plays offense so Ryan wasn't his coordinator, and he may easily prefer to stick with what he is good at and thats playing center for the miami dolphins! Also if suggs likes ryan so much he would have prefered to stay with the Ravens vs FA and we wouldn't have gotten him anyway... the jets suck and do not affect us!

the Jets don't have the money to get Suggs, nor will they try with THomas,Pace, and Gholston on the team..

the jets spent a lot of money last off-season. They will not interfere with us that much. Miami is young and rising, the jets are......still undecided

There's no way. The Jets have barely any cap room, #1. Secondly, they signed Calvin Pace at one OLB spot and drafted Vernon Ghoulston for the other spot. They don't need no Suggs. Trust me.

Then, they have Nick Mangold at Center, so they don't need Jason Brown...etc.

THey signed too many expensive contracts last offseason. They are all ready for a SB run. They just need a QB.

can rex turn gholston into the next suggs?hes a good coach an vern is a good athlete

Vernon is very athletic but he has horrible hips . . . I don't know if Rex can fix those hips. If I were the Jets I would offer Vernon to a 4-3 team for a mid first rounder. Vernon would be a great 4-3 DE, I don't know about him in the 3-4 OLB role, it may be something that he never gets. This kid needs his hand in the dirt.

Who cares if they give the Jets first dibbs. The Jets can't afford them anyway.
