They say you learn from the losses not the wins, and after the win over Carolina i think thats true.

We were all going crazy at a 1-0 start to the season. Our D looked great and we had an offense. It seemed like a 34-10 win could be the sign of things to come. However what did come was a defeat to the Jets and that really hurt.

The week that followed saw alot of Fins fans screaming for player 'x' to be axed and for Saban to improve, etc etc. Well i ignored these comments and instead read them as a secret 'love' message towards the fins. Ask yourself, why would people write that if they didnt love the Dolphins. They want them to win!

So, would another losing season be on the cards, a game against the Panthers would give us a clue. All fans were brought back to reality, we are beatable, and could even be 1-2 going into the BYE.

The rest is history, Mare won the game with seconds left and we are 2-1 and tied first in the AFC East. We showed we could bounce back, we showed we LEARNT from a defeat. Now we have a 2 week period to prepare for the Bills, could this be another blessing, espically with them having no more T.Spikes.

What im saying is teams HAVE to lose in order to learn. Now we are in a strong postion to make something happen this season and the loss to the Jets could be what helped us in the long run. Saban now knows what a loss feels like in the NFL and HE wont want the feel that again.

GO FINS!

What I liked is that we won a game late whereas in years past
we would have found a way to lose it.

I think that when Saban took responsibility for the loss, the players rallied around him, kind of a psychological tweaking. They actually respect Saban as opposed to, well everyone knows who I'm talking about

Would u be talking about the WORST "coach" in the HISTORY of organized sports... Dave "I never take ANY responsiblity" DUMB-stedt?

LOL....ding ding ding....what do we have for him Johnny!

I completely agree with that theory. I'm also glad that the bye-week is where it is now. I wasn't happy about it before. But there seems to be a few wounds that need mending (Ronnie's hammy, Juniors Achilles etc) and after a couple real battles it seems a good time...

And if you saw the postgame celebration video on the MD Insider... We are a very different football team. I think we did learn a lot from the Jets loss, but we have to contain our penalties. Penalties will kill us in the long run, but I'm proud that our team did not give up. This is a very different football team, and I really like where we are at right now... Bills in 2 weeks, then TB with Ricky returning... This is going to get really excited...

Cut down the penalites, and stay healthy and we have a very competive team.

in hindsight I can see the jets acually stole the game they won on us. Athough the fins were outplayed, and the jets do deserve the credit for that, im talking timing. We've defeated 2 teams now that we both serious contenders for a playoff spot. And the only loss we show is to a team that both qb's are hurt and their talent wasnt great when healthy, their running back is about to start doing commercials for ensure. What hurts is it was a conference game ...I hope this is kept in mind facing buffalo because I assure you we have their attention and respect.

Well, a loss is NEVER a good thing, but happens nonetheless. The problem is that my opinion of that loss is skewed by the fact that it was the Jests that we lost to. I could have almost seen your point if it were any other team...but the Jests ??
Nah, can't do it...
