I gotta admit that was hilarious to watch the Raiders beat the Jets.
Dont get me wrong. The Fins are pretty bad this year BUT the Jets are the ones that are trying to make a SuperBowl run this season...and are totally failing doing so.

Yes, Favre was very bad yesterday. I also have to complain about the gameplan. When Thomas Jones is getting 6, 7 yards every first down, you don't go playaction? There were several opportunities in OT to play fake and get into FG range.
The safety blitz? Letting J. Russell get comfortable? No adjustments? Mangini gets an F. Schotty gets an F. Sutton gets a D.
A real heartbreaker.

I picked the raiders to win that game, but thats only becuase I hate the jets, and the raiders played tough agenst the bills. But, its not like they didnt give the jets tons of chances to come back.

Can teams just stop "icing" the kicker? I think the bigger news was Favre communicating with the Lions about Packers.
You take the good with the bad with Favre and usually the good out-weighs the bad. It didn't Sunday though.

The Raiders aren't that bad. It's the NFL and anyone can beat anyone on any given Sunday.

They really aren't, it's reasonable to think they could have beaten Buffalo AND San Diego which would put them at 4-2. Plus as big a basher of Jamarcus Russell as i am, i think he's looked pretty good this year.

We cannot fault the D, they held an opponent to 13 pts in regulation and alomost half of those game on TOs(the leon fumble and fake punt which isn't really a TO but should be) the D played well PLUS they held Oakland twice in OT and kept them to a 57 yd FG attempt. The D did their jobs, it was the O that didn't and specifically Favre. He has regressed big time since that Arizona game.

I think he's looking greatly improved from last year. His completion percentage is low but in Oakland he's surrounded by very little talent to begin with. I've seen him put some great zip on passes with a lot of accuracy. He's mobile as we all know. I think if they get him some players and the right head coach he's going to be a pretty good QB.
