What do all these guys have in common?

Gus Frerotte, Miami: 25 of 47, 360 yds, 2 TDs
Kurt Warner, Arizona: 29 of 45, 359 yds, TD
Kerry Collins, Oakland: 26 of 50, 310 yds, 2 TDs
Marc Bulger, St. Louis: 28 of 40, 304 yds, TD

These are Sunday's leading passers. Their teams all lost.

RUN THE BALL! Enough said.

We have two #1 running backs, two #2 wide receivers, and a #2 QB. Now, I'm not a math whiz, but that seems to equal = Run the ball.

I don't understand why we don't use our best weapons.

we need ronnie to have 22 carries a game

I think that's a pretty good winning formula.

Ronnie - 22 Carries

Ricky - 15 Carries

Look what else they all have in common, completed around half of their passes...
I'd rather have a 200 or 250 yard passer with most of his passes completed...

Don't know if Ricky needs that many, he hasn't really showed he can handle it yet.

Good point! I'll take a 60 - 65 % completion rate every time.

I wish one of them was starting for my fantasy squad yesterday...

I think he needs that many to help him get in some kind of rhythm.

Maybe you didnt see the game. But the game I was watching we ran the ball 25 times for 77 yards. Thats only 3 yards per carry from two the best backs in the league. It doesnt take a genius to see the pats stuffed our run. Our passing game did a good job.

And anyone with an ounce of football knowledge could see we gave our running plays away based on formation.

Hmm, Barnes is in the game and we are 'bunched up' I wonder what we'll do? wow it was a run..

7 runs in the second half is not supportive of a running game.

RW was having a tough game, that was clear from the get go, but RB was beating the Pats up and we should have stuck with him.

Teams like the Steelers, Falcons and Broncos run the ball even on 8 man fronts. Because they know, if you don't and decide to pass it 35+ times without a run game, you'll probably lose. Its better to run 3 yards a pop with an elite RB than throw it 35+ times with a scrub QB.

I don't think I would say the passing game did a good job. Do you know how hard it is to pass for 360 yards and only score 16 points? That kind of stat suggests that the passing offense was pathetic inside the redzone. When you are pathetic inside the redzone passing, you should probably try to run it more.

We've had 7 plays inside the redzone to close out the last two games and we've thrown it 7 times! With 3 completions for 2 yards (I believe), zero TDs, and 1 INT to show for it.

Maybe we should just run it down their throats?

Was it Gus that signed a huge contract this offseason or Ronnie Brown? I can't tell by this play calling.

I think we should run it down everybody's throats. If we are averaging 3.5 yards per carry, and we have the ball on the 10 yard line, all we have to is run the ball 3 times for a touchdown, right? It makes more sense to me than letting a backup QB throw to a #2 receiver 3 times.
